A delightful small country house that has been restored but maintains its original charm and history. The hosts, Ryan and Massimo, were fantastic. The breakfast for all three days consisted of fresh meats, cheeses, yogurt and breads all sourced from small local shops. They were available to assist us in planning each day, making reservations and selecting fine dining each night.

Hosts Ryan & Massimo take hospitality seriously and have lovingly restored and decorated Casa Stella to create a comfortable and inviting home base to relax and enjoy the hills outside Bologna. A perfect blend of privacy/autonomy and hospitality. The setting is gorgeous, breakfast delicious, their local knowledge is deep and their enthusiasm for the food and culture is palpable. We stayed 2 nights and would have loved to stay longer.

Visiting Bologna and heard about the Truffle Festival in Savigno, so decided to book last-minute. What a surprise to find such a gem of a B&B located in the hills above the town. The house is quintessentially Italian. Elegant and simply beautiful. My room, Peonia, was very comfortable. A very large bedroom, with a spectacular view towards the hills and a luxurious en-suite bathroom. Breakfast was a feast, served with kindness by the lovely hosts. I loved everything and will definitely come back for longer next time.

Our stay at Casa Stella was really one of a kind. It is actually a place you want to keep to yourself. Like a little treasure. The history of the house, the nicely decorated rooms with love for past times, the breakfast with delicious cappuci's and home baked crostata. It all fitted into our Italian dream. Massimo and Ryan made us really feel at home. They were so kind and considerate. We made warm memories at the local town of Savigno and surroundings. But there is so much more to see and do. We will absolutely return!

Casa Stella Country House is the most wonderful and quiet place to stay. The extraordinary sympathetic hosts Massimo and Ryan gave us the best service ever. Ciao Massimo e Ryan! Thank you so much for an incredible stay. We felt so relaxed and well looked after and it was a pleasure to meet you both. You really went above and beyond and we are so grateful. The house and rooms are beautiful (we said many ‘wows’ when being showed round), the garden is stunning, and the pool is a peaceful place to watch the sun set across the valley. We went on some great walks up into the hills and ate very well in the town. We can’t wait to return!
