Excellent,

“ The staff is very friendly and helpfull! I booked 3 stays during my vacation in Italy and this was the first one, I asked the hotel if they could keep part of my luggage in every stay and they agreed, which was very helpfull to us. The hotel is meters away from the metro station that links you directly to Duomo! ”

It's clean; has a good location-50-70m to metro-on yellow line that goes to Dom-only 3 station!!!!!-; Has a large bathroom with big door(like a classic "french balcony"); lovely and modern furniture with huuuuuuge bed; the room has ac and minibar, too; good selection of food at breakfast (not only the "common" "dolci", but also eggs, salami, cheese etc...), helpful staff spoking english.... My room had a street-view, so was a little bit noisy in the evening,..., But if you're closing the windows everything it's perfect...

+ Close to metro station + Safe deposit box available in the room + Friendly staff - Rooms are clean, however they are small and filled with stuffy air which is difficult to air out - No vegetables in the breakfast

Hotel Five was a great find. The hotel staff from the receptionist, cleaners to the lady who serves breakfast were exceptionally kind and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble for them and every time I passed them I was greeted with a sincere hello and a smile. The hotel itself is on two levels. The ground level is the main reception, bar and breakfast room. The floor above is where all the rooms are. The hotel is in no way big or grand but in all honesty they do not pretend to be and personally I think that is the charm of the hotel. It has a homely feel. The Hotel is also very conveniently located next to Porta Romana underground transport which is 3 stops to the Duomo from where you can basically walk to all the main sites. If you head out of the hotel turn left, then left again and walk down the road 200-300 meters you will find the 'red line' underground. I recommend you buy the day pass for around €5 which gives you unlimited access to all the underground and overground trams. The hotel is also only 15 minutes from Linate airport. Breakfast had enough choices from cereal, cheese, meats, croissants/bread/toast, eggs, sausages, milk, tea, coffee and fruit. The breakfast room is small (we were a family of 9 so we could not all sit together) but to be honest it was not a big deal. There is free WiFi available which can be intermittent but it was not a problem. I don't think the hotel has car parking facilities but I believe you can find secure parking nearby. None, Hotel Five was a great find and value for money in the centre of Milan. I would certainly recommend it.

Hotel is located just 2mins walk from Porta Romana which is good if you are carrying heavy luggage! Breakfast was simple yet nice and the lobby is nicely decorated. However, the rooms were very small and so was the toilet. It is good for a night or 2 but not for more days especially if you go to Milan for shopping!

This was actually my third time at Hotel five. The hotel is clean, the rooms are simple but good looking. Breakfast has nice, with breads, cakes, pies, fruits and cereals. free wifi and right next to a metro station that leads you right to duomo. excellent capuccino. I had asked for a room facing the back since when I had stayed during the summer the rooms facing the street were quite noisy. However the only room they had facing the back was incredibly small, and since we had 5 luggages I asked if it was possible to change it. They gave us a larger room facing the street which during winter is quite ok, and we had a good night of sleep. well this time around I found that some of the staff was not very polite. The two previous times there was always someone offering you a coffe or capuccino during breakfast, this time we had to get up and ask for it, and the lady serving it gave us a face...maybe its because it was almost christmas...but it happened on all mornings during our stay. The rest of the staff is very polite. During breakfast there were a pandoro and one panettone inside their boxes, maybe if they were opened and sliced people would eat it, after all it was almost christmas, and thats time for panettone and pandoro :)

All staff including reception, bar/breakfast, cleaning were very friendly, attentive and helpful. The rooms were very clean and had tiled (marble) floors, i.e. no carpet which is a big advantage. The bathrooms were a little on the small side, but adequate and clean. The shower was only fixed overhead ("rain"-type), but there was a bidet. The beds were comfortable. The breakfast was comprehensive and of good quality. The location was very good not for our specific purpose, but also convenient as directly next to a Metro stop, several tram and bus stops, and within 20 minutes walk into the centre. A taxi from Linate was only EUR15 mid-morning. There is free, fast WIFI with strong signal throughout the hotel.

Primarily location as only 3 minutes from the metro for access to the city (and all other areas). Public transport links excellent, good range of bars and places to ear close to hand. Miss the tea/coffee making facilities in the rooms

Very friendly staff, all spoke English. Very clean. Comfy beds. A few steps from the red metro line. Next door to a great restaurant Gabry I Gabry(sp?) Typical European sized room. Plenty of room for our 4 suitcases and a bicycle. Good water pressure for shower and plenty of hot water. Good WiFi connection in the room. Staff very accommodating - printed some tickets I forgot about before leaving home. Hotel provides parking pass/ticket at reception desk 1euro per hour between 8:00-7:00. The Milan metro is great - fast, on time and air conditioned. A note - when purchasing tickets in the metro the screen that is constantly displaying advertisements is a touch screen. Touch the screen, choose your language, then it's easy. The hotel was wonderful, but for those not having been to Milan before, much of the city seems to have a bit of a rundown feel to it.

Cute design hotel in the centre of the city but still in the quiet street, at the Porta Romana Yellow Line Metro Station. The room I stayed at was a single bedroom but very comfortable and with a spascious bathroom and shower, towels smelled really fine and everything was super clean. Breakfast was both sweet and salty: with eggs prepared in different ways, ham and salami and even ketchup:). Usually you only get a sweet and quite poor breakfast in Italy if it´s not an international hotel chain. Coffee of course prepared upon your wish and my double espresso macchiato was really deliscious. I loved this hotel <3
