Certaldo is also the homeland of Giovanni Boccaccio, who, between 1313 and 1375, spent various periods of his life in the medieval village and BELLAVISTA was born to pay homage to the famous citizen. The name of the three apartments want to pay homage to BOCCACCIO, FIAMMETTA his beloved and CALANDRINO, one of his most famous works. Bellavista, Fiammetta consists of a double bedroom and a bathroom. Fantastic view of the medieval Certaldo Alto! Ideal for up to 2 people. Bellavista, Calandrino is an apartment consisting of a double bedroom, a dining room with kitchen and a bathroom...with a beautiful balcony and a fantastic view of the medieval Certaldo Alto Perfect for 2 people with possibility to stay up to 3 people. Bellavista, Boccaccio is an apartment consisting of a double bedroom, a bedroom with 2 single beds, a living room with a double sofa bed, a dining room with kitchen and a bathroom. Certaldo is logistically the perfect destination to visit cities of art such as Florence, Siena, Pisa reachable by train (train station just 2 minutes from La Bellavista). Then San Gimignano, Monteriggioni, Volterra, Chianti for visits by car in few minutes.
The Bellavista, Decameron View is located exactly in the beautiful Piazza Boccaccio the main square of the village of Certaldo, where the Town Hall and the Church are located. Overlooking the apartment, you can enjoy a breathtaking view of the medieval village of Certaldo Alto! Why “Decameron View”? Opening the window, the Statue of Giovanni Boccaccio overlooking the square, is so close that it seems to touch it! In the neighborhood there are various shops such as the Bakery, Gastronomy and schools. It’s a residential area and the neighbors are smiling and friendly. You can park near La Bellavista in the various paid parking lots in the center. The station is very convenient and only 2 minutes walk from La Bellavista. At the train station there is a parking fee. In Via XXVI Luglio, behind the train station, at the side of the railway, there is a free parking along the road. From there, going down the underpass of the station we are exactly in the pedestrian street Via due Giugno, in the center. Just 200 m from La Bellavista there is a charging station for electric cars in the parking lot of Piazza Dei Macelli.
