One of the most beautiful apartment that I have ever stayed. Not only the location is unbeatable, but also the charm of this antique house with all decoration even more charming than in the photos. Don’t forget to get to the top, you will have a view of Pienze that no other hotel would offer. We will come back again. Thank you for warm welcome and great hospitality of Lucia. Hope you can keep this house forever.

Hi, I'm Lucia, a primary school teacher, wife of Fabrizio and mother of three children. This is the house where we lived until a few years ago, where our children have grown along with our dreams. Property info

The multi floor apartment has three level. The ground floor consists of a large living room with fireplace and a well equipped kitchen. From the stairs you can rich the second floor that consists of a bedroom with double bed and another double bedroom with a bunk bed. The last floor is the mansarda with a comfortable sofa bed for two people. The apartment has three bathrooms. We are always available for any need and to suggest you the best point of interests as well the lesser know but authentic place to taste real tuscan and local food.

Neighborhood info

Pienza is a superb example of Renaissance architecture: the rebuilding of Pienza according to humanist urban reorganization was an example for many other Italian and European cities. Piazza Pio II is the hub of Pienza as all of the town’s main monuments are located on this square. The cathedral tower over all the other buildings (the Pope wanted this as a sign of faith). The second most important building on the square is Palazzo Piccolomini, Rossellino’s masterpiece, inspired by Palazzo Rucellai in Florence. Palazzo Borgia is another jewel found on this square. Palazzo Ammannati, Palazzo Gonzaga and Palazzo del Cardinale Atrebatense add the finishing touches to a fascinating urban fabric. The town is a UNESCO World Heritage Site: in 1996, UNESCO decided to make the centre of Pienza into a World Heritage Site “considering that the site is of outstanding universal value as it represents the first application of the Renaissance Humanist concept of urban design, and as such occupies a seminal position in the development of the concept of the planned “ideal town” which was to play a significant role in subsequent urban development in Italy and beyond.”
