Property info

Maggiore 145 apartment is located in a historic building in the "Rione Monti". The building runs along the homonymous square which houses the magnificent papal basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore, whose enchanting view can be enjoyed as soon as you leave the building. The very bright loft overlooks the internal courtyard on both sides. The outdoor patio, equipped with table and chairs, can be used to have a coffee in the sun before starting the visit of Rome or to relax at sunset. The apartment is composed of a rather large living room, with a comfortable sofa bed, a table, which if necessary becomes a dining table, TV and air conditioning. The double bed was placed on a wooden mezzanine. It is accessed via wooden stairs. The kitchenette is fully equipped and one bathroom has a shower and bidet. The coffered ceiling is typical of the area and of the oldest Roman palaces. Some of the features of this Rome apartment include its interesting decorative pieces, as well as the sun that floods during the morning. Roma Termini central train station is less than 10 minutes away on foot, while the Colosseum is less than 15 minutes away on foot.

Neighborhood info

Monti is a trendy neighborhood in the center of Rome. With its name meaning "mountains", it is no surprise that its streets wind up and down a hill, which rises from the Colosseum area. There is no shortage of delicious restaurants, ice cream parlors, trendy boutiques and vintage shops in this area. For example, heading towards Via del Boschetto is a great place to look for some unique artifacts. This is also a lovely area in which to enjoy an "aperitivo", or a delicious Italian meal in one of its many restaurants and bars. We recommend that you book a table at the charming Black Market bar and restaurant. Monti is also on metro line B, which can take you past the Colosseum and go down to the Aventino district. Here you will find the Orange Garden, the protagonist of Sorrentino's "La Grande Bellezza". This is a great place to relax after some sightseeing, as it offers many benches shaded by its orange trees. It is also close to Termini, the central station. From here you can take the Metro A, which will take you directly to Piazza di Spagna, Piazza del Popolo and then to the Vatican.
