Built on the foundations of an ancient 18th century post station, Villa Le Querce has been used for years as a stable for the shelter of animals and as a deposit for hay. In the early decades of the 1900s, the owners decided to transform it into a large manor house for future generations. After several years of work, without a male heir, the owners abandoned their project: albeit of the female heirs' great strength and temperament, the hard work of fields was not supposed to be done by women. Around the year 2000, the female heirs (Milena and Enza) changed the destiny of the villa, by leading the construction works that brought to the creation of the existing structure.

Property info

Villa Le Querce is an authentic Tuscan farmhouse (450m²) let for exclusive use to a single group of people. The Villa has four apartments, a common area with an open fireplace and a large kitchen. There are two additional large halls that can be used for wedding receptions, as a dance floor, or for meetings, workshops, group exercises or yoga retreats. Large outdoor terraces (100m²) with seating arrangements are ideal for al fresco dining, reading a book, or a sunset drink with friends. The saltwater pool (16m x 8m) and the surrounding gardens (more than 6.000m²) are for the exclusive use of the group renting the villa and illuminated at night: they represent an oasis to relax and spend pleasant evenings in contact with nature. The villa is surrounded by woods and, on a clear evening, by stars that seem to be close at hand.

Villa Le Querce is less than 3km away from the magical Abbey of San Galgano (famous wedding location) and Eremo of Montesiepi, where it is possible to admire the famous sword in the stone, which Galgano Guidotti stuck into the rock in 1180 as he retired from being a knight. Villa Le Querce's special location is at few steps away from the beautiful towns of Siena, Firenze, San Gimignano, Monteriggioni, as well as the coast, which offers daily trips to Elba island.
