Featuring a Japanese garden and fish pond, Kamesei Ryokan offers Japanese-style accommodations, traditional dining and natural hot spring baths, both outdoors and indoors. Free WiFi is available in all guest rooms. Rooms feature tatami-mat flooring and traditional futon bedding. They are equipped with an LCD TV, a fridge and a safe, while bathroom facilities are shared. Nightwear and slippers are provided. Guests at Kamesei can enjoy a massage or rent a bicycle to explore the surroundings. The ryokan offers concierge services, a souvenir shop and hot-spring baths that can be reserved for private use. Your proprietors, Tyler and Mari, returned from the States in 2005 to save the family inn from being turned into a parking lot. While maintaining the classical warmth and traditional atmosphere, we are adding little touches of Western hospitality such as the fireplace in the lobby, a hand-built outdoor bath made from river rocks and homemade cookies to serve the guests with their tea. Tyler is happy to provide local travel info and to share insight into his adopted home here in the Japanese countryside.
