The managing team supported by a very capable group of housekeepers and cook will welcome you to La Tonnelle. Gert has a long experience in business facilitation and enjoys the interaction with great people. Together with Marlene, they have established a Not for Profit company focused on empowering young people by training them in various skills. This service orientated due will go out of their way to make your visit to Mauritius as enjoyable and stress free as possible.

La Tonnelle Maison d’Hotes is a resort style Guest House with more than 15 years’ experience. Our 25 serviced, shabby chic style, bedrooms each has its own private bathroom (with shower), mini fridge, kettle and free WiFi. The guest rooms are of variable grades and sizes including Solo Economy (sleeps 1), Economy Comfort and Comfort with Terrasse for the budget traveler, and Superior with Terrasse, each comfortably sleeps 2 guests. Our 2 Family3 rooms, with one and a half bedrooms, sleeps a family of 3 and the 4 Family4 rooms with Terrasse each has 2 bedrooms, a dressing room and bathroom sleeping larger families of 4.

La Tonnelle is located in the village of Trou aux Biches. It is on the way side of Coastal Road directly across from the ocean and public parking. The main beach is an easy 200 meter walk at a point where you can also find the local supermarket. You will be a stone throw away from barbers/hair dressers, restaurants/coffee shops, ATM, police, and other amenities with the north and south bound bus stop rights in front of the gate.
