I loved Alte Kalkoefen! The sleeping lodges were beautiful and overlooked the savannah with constant wildlife moving through. The food was also great, I would absolutely recommend signing up for dinner and breakfast while staying here, relaxing at this lodge was a highlight of my trip!

Surrounded by natural African gardens, this eco-friendly lodge offers bright rooms with a balcony overlooking the Gurib River bed. It has an outdoor pool, free Wi-Fi access, and nature drives can be arranged. Rooms at Alte Kalkoefen come with a fan and floor-to-ceiling windows, with an extra outside shower.
