The Chamberson, hotel in Dunedin

Conveniently located in the centre of Dunedin, The Chamberson offers 5-star accommodation close to Taieri Gorge Railway and Toitu Otago Settlers Museum.

The Chamberson was conveniently located close to the Octagon and had a luxurious vibe about it. The beds were really comfortable, and the hotel was quiet. As someone who struggles to sleep whilst away (and usually needs an eye mask & noise cancelling headphones!) I can say I slept comfortably with no issues whatsoever. The view was lovely & the big floor to ceiling curtains were black-out so no waking up early!

Dunedin Leisure Lodge - Distinction, hotel in Dunedin

Dunedin Leisure Lodge - Distinction is a 4-star hotel set in landscaped gardens overlooking Dunedin’s Botanic Gardens. The hotel is a 5-minute drive from the city centre.

Best bed I've slept in at a Motel, so comfortable and didn't wake up with sore back. Breakfast buffet was good but not very hot so by the time you are halfway through it was cold.

I visited the Farmers Market which was fun.

I visited the Farmers Market which was fun. I also had a takeaway meal of blue cod, oysters and homemade chips from Best Cafe. The meal was amazing. I visited a part of the Botanic gardens which was lovely and watched a women’s rugby game at Opoho, just above the Gardens. We were treated to beautiful weather and a large flocks of wood pigeons!

It was very cold, but luckily it didn't rain and where we've stayed our heatpump was amazing. Dunedin is beautiful with very old beautiful buildings and lots of noisy students walking in the main streets until very late talking very loud and kicking rubbish bins.

We just stayed one night on our way to Stewart island as we have been here many times. We did a trip to Port Chalmers as we hadn’t been there. It a a cute town with a working port. Worth a look and a bit of a walk around.

This attractive hotel is a very modern design and has some great features. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Good, quiet location and we paid for the convenience of the hotel car park. Our room was very clean and comfortable and had everything we could want. You could buy drinks and snacks in the room (inc cocktails). We enjoyed breakfasts/snacks in the hotel cafe and we could explore Dunedin easily. There were lots of restaurants and bars nearby.

Easy check-in and key drop-off process. We stayed for a night and were assigned a large and spacious room (Room 9) with a kitchenette. There was air-conditioning so the room's temperature could be kept optimum during the stay. They also provided a mini-heater in case it was not enough. There was also a dedicated carpark lot in front of our room so it was very convenient. The motel was also conveniently located near most amenities in Dunedin.

The hotel was well situated - convenient to walk into central Dunedin, and close to restaurants. The owners of the hotel were very friendly and helpful - provided lots of advice about places to visit and where to eat. We were also able to use the washing machine and dryer which was very handy. Our bed was comfortable and the room well appointed. Definitely recommend as a place to stay in Dunedin.

The first time we have stayed at his hotel and really couldn't fault anything from the time we were met on arrival with a cold drink each, shown to our room and valet parking. Very close to the Octagon so easy walk to all of the restaurants and the Regent Theatre. Continental breakfast was very adequate and tasty. Thank you.

Historic hotel built in 1884; some original elements remain. Great location, free parking across the street from hotel. Parking in Dunedin CBD can be difficult, so convenient parking was much appreciated! Our room had a view of the central courtyard, where the original stables were built.

Location to centre of Dunedin - very walkable but uphill on the way home :>) Good CV work out! Good parking - the only not so good thing was the smell of cooking oil filtering through the room/s from the kitchen / restaurant. Hotel good otherwise.
