Large cabin, easy to move around. My daughter loved helping feed and walk the animals. Close to good food, beautiful beaches and great fishing spots.

Nestled among tall trees with plenty of shade, Pukenui Holiday Park is just 1640 feet from the beautiful Houhora Harbor. Each of these holiday cabins includes an outdoor patio and some have a private bathroom. Pukenui Holiday Park Northland is a 20-minute drive from Henderson Bay and a 25-minute drive from 90 Mile Beach. It is a 30-minute drive to Kaitaia and a 50-minute drive to Cape Reinga. Facilities include a coin-operated laundry room, gas BBQ area and free parking outside each cabin. Children can enjoy playing in the tree hut or petting the farmyard animals. Each holiday cabin includes a kitchen or kitchenette blankets and duvts can be hired. All guests have access to a fully equipped shared kitchen and dining room. Restaurants and take-away food stores are within walking distance.

Rambo, Ebony and Caesar our pet sheep love getting selfies! Star and Sonnie are our little miniature ponies who welcome a friendly pat and a piece of bread or a carrot. Children and adults alike are faninated with Penny our kunikuni pig, and the free range hens who wander around churping. All can be found in the holiday park, often amongst guests!!
We purchased the holiday park in 2000 and still enjoy meeting people and helping them get the most out of their holiday in the beautiful Far North. Our local knowledge about beache, walks, fishing and swimming gives guests a good idea of what is on offer in the area. There is a multichude of adventures you can have if you know where to go, and you only need to take your lunch and a camera!
Guests often say we are a great stop over on their way to Cape Reinga. You can walk to local shops and restaurant,and local wharf for a swim or fish. Locals are friendly and will give you tips about what beaches are the best to visit, which pies and best to eat, and who makes the best coffees.
