The staff at the hotel and in the dining room were exceptional. So friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious and so exceeded our expectations. The location was perfect for seeing Pelles and Pelisor. An easy walk down to the town and about 20 minutes to the Monastery.

Location! This was the building, at Pele's complex, where the King's guard stayed! We had a nice, odd shaped room that overlooked the front area, parking etc, but then the back of our room, through a small hallway, you could view the castle, then the very back was the bathroom in the turret. I actually took a nice hot bath in a claw footed tub, in the turret of an old castle with the window opened (It is a window now, it used to be the arrow slit), listening to all the birds. This area is surrounded by forest and the waitress from the cafe told us how a few days before their was a bear wondering on the patio of the cafe at 8am! The cafe had the best apple turnovers I have ever had in my life. All the staff was very nice and very proud of the hotel. After we visited the castle, we took a nap, then we went out and walked the extensive grounds again then also went to the monastery in the little town. Very nice visit.

Cozy room, everything you would need for a pleasant stay. I was impressed by the attention to details to keep the epoch atmosphere - furniture, lighting and even plumbing! My first impression was that I came back to grandma's home. Even the squeaky floor adds to this feeling 😊 Clean and quality sheets, towels, etc, frequently replaced. Breakfast is good, a la carte, some predefined oned but you can order only parts of them if you can't eat so much. The coffee is Iulius Meinl in both restaurant and room. Internet is good but GSM signal very poor due to location I guess. A special thank you for all the staff, hope I'll return soon

The location was unique, the property being set in the park of the Royal Castle. The architecture was unique also. A number of lovely buildings set in the woods at the top of a mountain. The rooms were comfortable just quaint enough to fit in with the décor. As it is an old building, there is no elevator but a person at the front desk helped us with our luggage. There were two restaurants and a café open on site so we could eat there and not have to drive into town. We also visited the castle and learned so much about the history of the property and its royal inhabitants. We had a very restful stay.
