We stayed here for one night as a stopover between Lake Bled and Plitvice Lakes. This was a slice of paradise. Beautiful setting, delicious food, comfortable bed, and very warm and gracious host. I would love to visit again and would definitely recommend this place! Make sure you book dinner too!

We loved this little family farm hotel stay. Everything was impeccable, from little bouquets of flowers grown in their garden placed around the hotel, to a sprig of lemon balm in the water in a pretty carafe. Breakfast was robust, the bathroom and bedroom were well appointed with local furniture which we loved. We enjoyed the golden retriever hanging around. She was lounged at the top of the stairs when we awoke, as if to greet guests a good morning. There’s a pretty little stream running the property and bench thoughtfully placed beneath a shady tree. It’s thoughtful touches in this sweet hotel that justify a perfect score. We will definitely be back to enjoy the four seasons.

A farm stay at an actual farm in an extremely beautiful location. Quite close to Novo Mesto, a decent-sized town, but you would never know it by the quiet and calm of the Seruga farmstay. We did half-board (breakfast and dinner, breakfast is included in the room rate) and the food was excellent. Dinners were completely home-cooked by Eva, the proprietress and were yummy. We are not talking gourmet, here--soups, lots of vegetable dishes and a protein main. All very tasty. And a good dessert each night.

I cannot say enough nice things about our stay. Our host went out of her way to be helpful to us. She even rearranged her restaurant day off for us so we could have dinner there, since I had requested it 5 months before. And the dinner was amazing, prepared from food grown on site. Everything was delicious and complimented by their own wines. Breakfast was equally terrific. She even lowered our room cost because there was only two of us, even though we had booked a triple room. She did not have to do this and I doubt many would. What integrity. It’s too bad we were only in the area for one night.
