The resort was excellent value for money. The resort was clean, easy to park, bright, modern with an indoor pool, sauna and a well equipped gym. In the evening we enjoyed a wonderful meal in the restaurant with cocktails. The owner took the trouble to introduce himself and clearly wanted to ensure all the guests had a lovely time. We couldn't find fault with any aspect our stay and will definitely return. Outstanding value for money.

Khao Kho is a great place to go for those who like the nature, the green, the mountains, the scenery and all life surrounded by nature. We enjoy local foods and wines. Many natural places to go around that include the cultural setup, the pagodas (wat, buddhist temples). But I recommend you to rent the car or motorbike as not many taxi available. Nice to walk inside and pray, it is not necessary what religion you are. The calm and fresh environment is always there for us to experience and relax. Best place to bring family! It is better to review and book accommodations before going just to make sure it meets your stay expectation.

It was a relaxing experience with slow pace and cold weather. Though there was no shopping for us, there were many good Cafe outlets and good restaurants where you can enjoy the drinks and good food. Best to have own private transport to move around.

An easy and enjoyable drive from Phitsanulok, where I live.
An easy and enjoyable drive from Phitsanulok, where I live. Amazing view of the mountains, plenty of good food and café around. In contrary to most people, I prefer to go to Khao Kho during the rainy season (July-October), because...
- It's much more lush and green, so the colors are incredible
- It's less sunny, hence not as hot during the day and cool at night/morning
- All the accommodation are at half the price of the high season (Nov-Feb)
- It's a lot less crowded. In fact, there are hardly any tourists at all!

It was hotter than expected for a mountainous area.
It was hotter than expected for a mountainous area. Great mountain views but to see the "sea of fog" which this place is famous for would depend on your luck! Same with the sunrise and sunset. Lots of places here has very nice views, unfortunately the plants were more yellow than green during our visit from 10Feb to 15Feb due to the dry season. Charges for rooms are different for weekdays and weekends for most of the places. It was hard to get a good map in English and although the places looked quite close, they are not that easy to access due to the winding and steep roads. It is easier to take note of the road numbers. Food also varies from upmarket to local eats. The locals recommended Love U Mookata and Okay Mookata which offer fairly cheap buffets.

If you are a nature traveller.
If you are a nature traveller. Khao Kho will suit you. this place is not commercialise, majority who go there are local people so language could be a barrier but can use google translate to communicate with the local.
The caretaker/receptionist was really nice and very kind. She attended to all our requests including changing or rooms to the one with a better view of the mountain. We were treated as if we own the place (feel at home reception). Breakfast was superb, home cooked with real personal touch, and was available for us to finish from 6 am to anytime in the morning 😊. Front and yard gardens are well maintained, relaxing to walk around
we stayed here during off-peak season so we were the only visitors! it was lovely - very nice and quiet <3 we enjoyed the mookata dinner 🥘 and had fun playing with the resident dogs! 🐕 the toilet was alright too. the tent was not huge but not too small either. the insect netting kept us safe from bites and other creepycrawlies 🙏 despite the warm weather, the tent is ventilated well with the help of a fan
The overall Japanese-inspired experiences, from the onsen, wooden cabin/villa, modular shower unit (with hot rain shower), and Japanese meals (tasty full set menu dinner including sushi and sashimi). The staffs also wonderful, always ready to make our stay extra comfortable. This resort is a great choice for family vacation in Khao Kho
Cute hotel, nice external furnishings with the campfire and garden. Staff was great, despite a minor payment dispute they were extremely honorable and professional throughout the stay. The owner made sure to accomodate the guest, which shows a great dedication to customer satisfaction.
We got upgraded to a cottage. The cottage was really nice. Very clean, very well appointed. Free items in the mini bar. Good wifi, great AC. The bed was super comfortable. We got served our very nice breakfast right on out own patio. This is a great hotel, and we highly recommend it.
Very close to the river. Walking Street is in front of the hotel. Very convenient. So many local food to taste. The hotel has its own parking space. We were the only group stayed at the hotel that night. Very quiet.
The hospitality of the owner, view, tranquility. We slept really well, though it was cold outside but inside the room was warm. Love to sit outside looking at the mountains. Will be back for sure.
A tiny hotel but lovely room along with the good service mind staffs, room is clean, facilities within is provided. Breakfast is good in portiion. Location is easy to find and parking is provided.
Staff at the hotel are exceptionally outstanding. They go out of the way to really make us feel at home in this resort. Highly recommended if the aim is to just stay in and relax.
