This place has the most magnificent location 5 minutes from the desert. The host Farid communicated promptly via WhatsApp, and we were met at the property by Fathel, his brother. Wonderful traditional dinner prepared by the familiy. Home-made bread each morning. We were able to use the barbecue and the host kindly helped with all arrangements. You have to be a nature- and camping lover to really enjoy this place, but if you fit this category you'll love it. We'll certainly return, inshallah!

A great stay in the dates farm. Welcoming host Fadil who made sure we had everything we needed. Ferid was in touch through whatsapp prior to arrival. Dinner was great and plenty, tasty food and the bread making in the sand was a nice experience. Rooms were comfortable, it had all the amenities required. Highly recommended.

It’s a very nice location, at the edge of the dessert. Owners are very nice and relaxed guys. The cabins are basic, but with all the luxury you’ll need. They provide a nice dinner if you want, and show you how to bake your bread in the sand. We did the sunset horse riding tour, and we loved it. Other options (we didn’t try them, so I can’t tell you) are camel tours and quads.

They whole camp was welcoming. They treated us like family. The home made break baked in sand was the best bread I had in my life. The surrounding desert is magical. Everyone should sleep at least once in their life under those stars. The view was astonishing as if I saw the sky for the first time. We hope to return soon.

The public area is very atmospheric and has an authentic desert feel to it. The rooms are comfortable and have working air conditioning. They prepared a very delicious dinner for me upon request and the breakfast was nice too. They also arranged trips into the desert like camel tours and jeep tours. Located at the edge of the desert. Wow!!! Defintive recommendation if you stay at Douz! I wish I could give you more than 10 points!! Small bungalow with comfortable bed, bathroom. Beautiful garden. On foot you can reach the beginning of the desert within minutes. The bungalows are located within the palmtree area. The dinner I booked additionally was really tasteful, it was shown how to traditionally bake bread in the desert sand. Unique experience!!!

We loved this place: simple rooms in an attractive setting with an authentic homely feel. Farid is an exceptional host and helped to organise trips for us in advance without any hassle and everything happened on time. Considering the location really is on the edge of the desert, the rooms had surprisingly good air conditioning and fast wifi. The property also included parking within the compound and there is a communal kitchen with large fridge - great for chilling water. Note: Having your own transport is very useful since this location is quite far from the centre of town.
