    “House was fully stocked had everything we needed. Linens were clean and new. Even though the neighborhood felt a little rundown we didn't feel unsafe.”

Coming to Columbus and want to stay in Franklinton? This special "shotgun house" is close to everything, making it easy to plan your visit. We are walking distance to the Franklinton hot spots and minutes from Downtown Columbus. Interstate 70 is within blocks! The street is quiet and the home is cozy - complete with two bedrooms and a full bathroom. The area is being regentrified, so lots of pride of ownership on the street!!
I have recently retired from a fabulous teaching career and am ready to start traveling with my husband, Chris. We rescue dogs so that limits where we can go, but I wouldn’t trade them for anything! We currently reside in a suburb of Columbus with two Great Danes and four Dachshunds - and guess which breed is the bossy one? I now help my son out with his Airbnb properties and am loving this second chapter of my life!
Just south of downtown Columbus across the Scioto River lies the historic neighborhood of Franklinton. Franklinton is home to attractions and experiences big and small, with business owners drawn to the community for its supportive nature. Try unique things to do in Franklinton like Makers Social (sip a cocktail and tackle a DIY project at the same time!) and COSI (voted the best science museum in the nation for the third consecutive year in 2022). The neighborhood is home to creatives of all types, with galleries, public art and more for those who live to find their inspiration. With access to green space via the Scioto Mile, breweries, the National Veterans Memorial and Museum , coffee shops and more, it doesn’t matter if you’re a foodie, an artist, or a science or history buff – come and check out all Franklinton has to offer!
