Built nearly two hundred years ago, the home is nestled on a quiet country road above Lake Sadawga. New: We just added a play, art, and activity area for young children! Designed by an early childhood educator and researcher, our living room has a play area geared toward little ones ages 1 to 8. Let their creativity fly with an easel, watercolors, tempera paints, chunky brushes for small hands, pastels, markers, and colored pencils. Play with hand-made solid maple hardwood building blocks. Enjoy sensory enrichment with playdough and coloring books. A walkthrough of the home: Enter off the charming wood front porch into the foyer, to be greeted by warm wide-plank pine floors and original rough-hewn exposed beams. Warm up at the gorgeous fireplace with hand-carved mantel in the first floor living room, or at the pellet stove in the foyer. We supply locally sourced firewood and pellets. Pass the day in the dining room with its copper-roofed south-facing bay of windows. Sit around the hardwood dining table, watch the spring birds flit around the quince bushes, and cook your grandmother's recipes in the fully equipped kitchen. Enjoy the picture-perfect forest views from each of the three bedrooms. The second floor opens into a bonus living room arranged around a red-enameled standalone cast iron stove. Sit around the cozy fire here late at night until bed calls. The acreage spans 11 acres with fields, forest, a small pond, and babbling streams. We are a 4-minute drive from the Harriman Reservoir South End Boat Ramp! Find comfort with spa-grade toiletries and linens. Our downstairs bathroom has a shower, and our upstairs has a clawfoot tub with oil-rubbed bronze gooseneck shower. Our 2 king and 1 queen beds are adorned with real duck down duvets for the coziest sleep of your life.
