Clear Creek Retreat was established by a Father and Son team who love the front slope of the Rockies and all the recreational facilities the location has to offer. Originally built in 1976, we purchased the property 5 years ago as our vacation home, and have spent the last 5 years updating and improving the home to create a warm rustic and inviting ambiance. We then made it available for guests to enjoy when our family is not staying at the house.
Location is ideal for access to the major ski areas without the high cost of staying on the slopes or the hassle of driving back to Denver in heavy traffic, the closest ski slope is only 10 mins away. Summertime is perfect for getting away from the heat, average temperatures in the summer are in the mid-seventies. A true 4 seasons resort for those who love the outdoors. Local availability includes fishing, white water rafting, climbing, hiking, cycling and the Rocky Mountain National Forest.
Georgetown is a quaint mining town established in the 1860's. Today it has many of the original Victorian houses well maintained as well as the original steam train which will take visitors on a tour of the mountains and old mines. In Idaho Springs there are working gold mines which give guided tours. Georgetown has some good dining and lots of antique and local craft shops.
