Desert Rose Resort  

Brilliant location round the corner from the Strip but without a casino and so much much quiter and none of the hassle. Staff were extremely welcoming and very helpful. We would definately stay here again if we ever revisited Las Vegas.We booked a 2 bedroom suite and the layout and size was excellent. It also included a fully furnished kitchen area if you wanted to cook for yourself or a family.

We had a 1 bedroomed apartment which was very comfortable. The apartment was well equipped and the facilities were excellent andtidied daily. There is a beatiful pool and jacquzzi at the resort where you can relax. Free tea, coffee and water all day was a lovely touch. The staff were very pleasant. It is just off the Las Vegas strip and is only a short distance from the MGM Grand. It was an excellent choice and I wouln't hesitate to go back again.

Location, price, staff, comfort, cooking facilities, pool, breakfast, happy hour, wake up calls--staff extremely helpful, smiling and courteous; 24 hour coffee and tea available, room is like a large studio apartment with balcony and colorfully decorated w/ two tvs I highly recommend this hotel- it is a gem!

I was pleased with the hotel except for the late check-in at 4pm

I liked the price to start with and I was pleasantly suprised at the high standard of the Resort.The rooms were a little dated but they were excellent value for money and the resort itself was within walking distance of the strip which was great.I Have stayed at more up market hotels in lv but if I returned to lv this would be my choice.You are away from the frantic pace of the Strip but as I have said before within walking distance.The staff were pleasant and helpful,the suite rooms are large and spacious and spotlessly clean.This would be a great place for families as the rooms have a kitchen area which was fully stocked.A Great find in Las Vegas.

The seating arrangements at breakfast...just a minor complaint.

I loved that there were two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a living room and a full kitchen, giving 3 adults and two children plenty of space. The location was close enough to the large casinos, but was far enough away to get a quiet break from it. Finally, I really loved not having to walk through a loud, smoky casino every time we left our room.

The bedding wasn't very soft and warm. I slept on the fold out in the living room and the heater was loud, so I turned it off at night. I was cold each night because the sheets and blankets were not at all warm. I was unimpressed with the buffet. The food was fine, nothing great, but the worst part was that it was continuously crowded with literally no place to sit. We ended up going out to breakfast a few mornings so as not to deal with the crowd.

Just far enough from the strip to be quiet when we wanted to sleep,very pleased with the suite, a short walk to mgm grand and busses. Breakfast was good.

I liked the fact that the rooms had self catering options. I thought the BBQs in the pool area were a brilliant touch. Staff freindly and helpful. Free coffee all day- what an excellent idea!!

Pool area much too small for size of the hotel. Often people are queing for poolside beds which is unfair and leads to people getting up v early just to reserve beds- this is against hotel policy but unfortunately not enforced. In a 24 hour city like Las Vegas I think breakfast should be available later than 10:00 am, the very speedy close down of breakfast means that late commers cannot eat.

Breakfast was much to hectic

Superb location. One block from the Pyramid on the Strip and the Strip and downtown bus stop.On the Strip without being in a Casino hotel. Large 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom apartment with well fitted kitcken -good air con. Surprisingly good breakfast included in the rate.

All the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Rooms were comfortable and well equipped. Breakfast was included in the price as was an eveneing "reception" with snacks and a free drink - that was much appreciated. I don't know anywhere else that does that. The pool area was very nice and not too busy.

I would have preferred it if the hotel had a bar.

I was impressed by the size of our 2 bedroom suite. I also enjoyed the very comfortable bed they had.

The continental breakfast that was provided was just OK and the scene at the peak of breakfast hour was crowded and chaotic.
