Company info

University professors turned into short term rental hosts. We are born in Europe (Finland and the Netherlands) having lived in the US since 1995. We have six kids and bonus kids between us now living on multiple continents. Our kids, grand kids and great grand kids represent a handful of ethnicities communicating in five languages, making every day a cultural adventure.

Property info

This historic property was originally designed by E.E. Roberts, a renowned Oak Park architect who’s Prairie Style houses were built to satisfy the needs of contemporary clients. As a result EE Roberts outperforms Frank Lloyd Wright in the numbers of buildings erected in Oak Park. Staying in this home, will help you experience why EE Roberts was the architect of choice for so many clients. This secluded Roberts Villa neighbors the birthplace of Ernest Hemingway. You are 4 blocks from the L-line and 30 min from the Loop, MDW and ORD. Experience an ambiance that supports the work-from-home Urban Professional, combining it with a multibedroom layout designed to accommodate family and friends. The flow of the apartments with their bedrooms, dining-room, TV-room, living room and kitchen combined with ample office space makes them ideal for both business travel and family vacations. Shared washer and dryer in the basement.

Neighborhood info

Oak Park is known for its art, architecture, public concerts, historic homes and well managed parks. The Frank Lloyd Wright Studios, Hemingway’s birthplace, the Lake & Oak Park Dining District and local shopping centers are all a within a 12 minute walk. Our home designed by EE Roberts, is kitty-corner with a beautiful gothic church. Having the L-line within 4 blocks; and MDW & ORD a 30 min car ride away, you are secluded but never isolated.
