We had a great time overall.
We had a great time overall. Prospect Mountain park was disappointing though. We heard the views were great, however most of the views from the scenic overlooks, 2 of 4 ,were obscured by trees. I recommend Lake George because it’s beautiful and rich in history. There’s plenty to do—whether you’re visiting with family or going solo. I love the restaurants, which offer excellent service, delicious food, and plenty of variety. My favorite part was going to different ice cream shops because there’s so many of them! And one of my favorite restaurants was The Lagoon. A fun thing to do solo is to go on the Mini Ha Ha boat ride.Guest review byCarrieUnited States - 10.0

A lot of attractions, awesome scenery, there's a band of not two usually every evening in town (free). The people there are always friendly, lots of dining or quick eats, plenty of "club life" if that's your bag, many options for day trips, examples, Fort Ticonderoga, Albany and the capital district, a quick jaunt to Vermont, Fulton Chain of lakes. Always a great destination to get away for some sun and fun in the Adirondack Mountains. Only an hour drive from Albany, New York, the area is filled with history, swimming, parasailing, snorkeling, fun arcades for the kids. The room was comfy and clean, and included a fridge which was great for the leftovers we had from our dinner. The indoor pool was quiet, clean and at a comfortable temperature.
