Free wi-fi - most hotels charge exorbitant fees for this cheap service. This should be a free service, as with Nu Hotel, well done! Also breakfast, coffee / tea and L'Occitane toiletries included.
All in all, a good hotel with good service and friendly staff.
Large modern bright rooms
The staff was very helpful. The bed and room was very clean and the bed was excellent for a good nights. sleep. Breakfast was good and easy to get but short on table space to set down and eat. Location was in a great spot and easy to get around . Many neat places in walking district. I would stay there again.
As an older adult the low bed and the safe caused problems for me. Getting out of bed or down to the safe was a chore alond with getting back up do to my artificial Knee. I wish there were 2 chairs in the room so when we both were in there we could both set down instead of one of us setting on the bed.
The minimalist style of the room, very efficient but comfortable. The front desk staff was friendly and welcoming
The free continental breakfast is held in the small lobby and is pretty chaotic -- hard to find a place to sit
easy access from subway to centre of New York. Good restaurants nearby. Comfortable room. Good tea/coffee machine
Struggled to find a seat at breakfast as it was so busy
Beds were comfortable, the shower ample, the mini bar well stocked! Staff was very nice. Family suite rooms were great for little kids. lobby had friendly atmosphere, and the parking was very convenient. Front desk called a car service for us so we didn't have to struggle to get cabs at rush hour.
The lighting in rooms was dim ...there was not enough of it. the sink area was crowded for two. and the low beds were difficult for older people (over 70) to negotiate.
We wanted a location close to the Brooklyn Tabernacle Church, and to the subway into Manhattan. The NU Hotel was perfect in every way; with an excellent wait staff, and very comfortable rooms - we were very pleased. Thanks NU Hotel!
The staff The service The location
The shower facilities. There is no shower head that you can hold in your hand. There is no place to put your towels to dry. Meaning that you need to change towels every day. The bed wasn't very comfortable.
The hotel is elegant and cool, the staff nice, the location great close to Cobble Hill, Carol Gardens, Brooklyn Bridge. Really nice area with lots of shops and restaurants and bars - great vibe! The breakfast assortment is not big, but the quality of the food and drinks are good. The hotel has tables and chairs outside the hotel where you can sit and watch people and enjoy a cup of coffe or a drink.
Nothing - I will come back again again!!
Liked the location in Brooklyn and the helpful staff. Would recommend people visiting to see some of the local Brooklyn attractions
The minibar made some noise, but this is a minor detail.
location, overall cleanliness, superb staff, breakfast.... very cute, kind of funky decor...
old HVAC was very loud. Space was not great but I understand it's NYC....
I immediately liked NU Hotel when I walked in the front door. The lobby is designed and decorated well, compact and serves several purposes with no wasted space. Besides the gym, everything takes place here- free breakfast and refreshments (with yummy homemade cookies) throughout the day and at night turns into a bar. ALL employees, from concierge to housekeeping, are informative and personable making travel easy and comfortable. I love that Brooklyn artist are featured throughout the hotel. My room had a mural by Magdalena Marcenaro. Art is interactive, too. The bathroom has a "chalk wall" (and also is equipped with wonderful toiletries). One of the best parts of the stay are the bed pillows. Yes, a great nights sleep! I will definitely be back!
The staff was so pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was great.
Great value, very nice hotel- no real complaints at all. Located 5-10 min walk from subway stations which will get you to Manhattan within half an hour. Comfortable bed, clean room and well-stocked minibar plus helpful staff.
There are only 2 minor drawbacks: 1) If you don't want to be half an hour from Manhattan then this maybe a little far away (but if you don't mind, then this is a positive, since it's a little quieter but still very accessible); 2) The free wifi was a little unreliable.
Very courteous and helpful staff. Excellent breakfast. Near many nice restaurants.
Location, professional and friendly staff, cleanliness
Failure to preform wake up call as requested could have misses plane
Location was good
Very expensive for the room
Sound insulation not up to standard on busy Atlantic avenue side
Decor Bathroom Comfort Breakfast Lounge
Staff were v nice, welcoming and helpful. We got rooms as requested before arrival. Convenient to explore TriBeCa/Soho area. Lots of interesting places: galleries, shops and restaurants, subway is nearby so it's easy to go anywhere.
Only gripe is b/fast is gone around 8:30ish
Definitely different in a good way ... Modern yet functional .. Great staff
Everything was good
Location, staff very accommodating, atmosphere
location was great...close to the Promenade, close to the subway...
Loved the room. Overall the hotel is very nice, clean, and comfortable.
I was very disappointed that the hotel promoted its tapas bar on the website "Misdemeanor offers a menu of light tapas..." (it's also promoted on menus in the rooms, in the elevator, etc) but in fact there was no tapas bar. When I asked about it, I was answered with a smirk/shrug and a sarcastic "Tapas? Oh, I don't know. Maybe next week?" Which was not helpful.
