Nice place, though room a bit "oldschool" in terms of decoration, but all in all, very good stay, nice breakfast, close to Yosemite.

Very friendly manager who went out of her way to help us with everything. Got a free upgrade because the AC in our booked room was broken. Comfortable beds, big room with everything you need for a short stay. Good shower, though even for someone who is only 173cm in height, it was mounted very low on the wall. Some contortion was needed to rinse my hair.
Mariposa has excellent dining options, many varied restaurants of which the Ramen place was our absolute favourite. 45 minute drive into Yosemite National Park if you start early enough to be ahead of the crowds.

We had a great time here.
You have a whole cottage for your self that is equipped with everything you need. The donkeys have their area directly next to the accommodation, they are curios and friendly and they like to keep you company when you sit outside.
Glen and Teresa are great hosts and will support you in case of questions.
The location is also perfect, short drive into town where you can find nice restaurants and a big supermarket. Within about one hour you reach the Yosemite National Park via a nice scenic route.
So overall we were more than happy here and would definitely come back when we have the chance one day.

Mariposa is a nice country town with good range of shops, services and food options for its size (including a supermarket), even in our early spring visiting time. This is due to its proximity to Yosemite NP about 70km away (our reason for visiting). If using the YARTs bus service to access the park its a great base.

Mariposa is about as close you can get to Yosemite without staying in the park, but it's still an hour drive from the valley. This is fine if you're visiting the park for 1 or 2 days, but after 2 days, you'll definitely have had enough of the driving. The town itself is very cute and has tons of nice places to eat. There is also a very large supermarket.

Mariposa is a small town, nothing much to see.
Mariposa is a small town, nothing much to see. We stayed there to visit Yosemite. But Mariposa has no mobile coverage, Had we known that beforehand, we'd have stayed in Yosemite village, inside the park, which has good mobile coverage.

Great little town, very hot in the summer.
Great little town, very hot in the summer. Near the Yosemite Park entrance that is closest to Yosemite Valley. It is historic with several nice shops and restaurants. Check out The Grove House for a great selection of Micro Brews and great food. Excellent mixed drinks and live music as well! Stay here if you don't want to spend over $400.00 a night!
It’s a great place! I liked it more, then some hotels in Mariposa. Our studio was comfy, decorated, clean. The kitchen had everything you need, including some coffee/drinks ets. I loved big windows with mountains view and patio. The owner was very polite and answered quickly. And it’s pet friendly without fee, which is perfect!
Yes, cleaning fee is pricy, but even worser hotels cost more then this place + fee, especially if you have a pet
Christine, the owner, seemed very sweet and answered all our questions.
The atmosphere of the Little Valley Inn is quite layed back and the cabins are located in a charming spot of nature.
We read about the breakfast, which indeed was really enjoyable and much appreciated.
The place is not very close to the Yosemite Valley main entrance but has the advantage of being closer the Mariposa Grove one. I recommend.
Beautiful house with stunning views. Well located near Yosemite, and Mariposa town is lovely, just a short drive away with a nice variety of restaurants. Margaret and Charlie were absolutely lovely and so accommodating, and had a wealth of knowledge of the parks and the local area! They communicated throughout via WhatsApp which was very helpful and reassuring. Could not recommend this place more!
The place is very good, located in a quiet area. Good size for a group of 4 friends. River Rock Inn was very clean, and the beds were comfortable.
Great communication with hosts.
Shame we have arrived quite late to explore the area, but Mariposa seems to be a nice little town. The host provided clear check-in details for those arriving late.
The location was great for visiting Yosemite. The staff was really nice and gave me an update on the weather for visiting the national park nearby. The room was a great size for two people!
There were two sets of ear plugs which in wasn’t expecting.
Check in and check out were a breeze! The water pressure was great with really warm water!
fantastic inn right in the centre of mariposa. comfortable rooms that have everything you need. great location for visiting Yosemite. we had a fantastic stay, Mary looked after us so well and even gave us a breakfast goody bag when we were up early to climb half dome. would definitely stay again and would highly recommend.
The Place Is located in Mariposa, 1 hour driving to the Yosemite Valley, so you have to keep that in mind if you're going many days to the park would e 2 hours per day driving. The hotel has stores near, and some restaurants. The Room Was very spacious, the beds were amazing,an people at the front desk were very kind too.
We love this location and have stayed here a couple times. The rooms are always clean and we like where it's located not only in Mariposa but to Yosemite. Everyone is always nice when we stay there. We always ask for extra pillows and towels and they made sure to have them in the room when we checked in.
Convenience to the town of Mariposa. Comfort of the house with the kitchen stocked with items I needed to cook as far as utensils, pots and pans. The drive to Yosemite was not far at all
Being able to relax after the day trips to Yosemite.
Clean. Comfortable bed which is most important
Prices were a lot more reasonable compared to nearby hotels.
Plenty of towels and a krueg for coffee and tea.
Great breakfast included with plenty to choose from.
The location was perfect for Yosemite and Mariposa is a very cute little town.
Although you can see the hotel is maybe a little older, the cleanliness and staff and everything make up for that!
The facilities were great after a long day travelling/walking. Coffee machine, fridge and microwave in the room was really handy, as well as a washing machine and tumble dryer nearby.
Marion was the sweetest person. Very thoughtful and caring for us. The location in Mariposa is perfect and 1 hour away from the park. The hotel was a vintage style that my wife loved.
Mariposa lodge was clean, good location: 1ish drive to Yosemite and walkable distance to restaurants. Beds, enough space. Nice little pool to relax at the end of the day.
Ideal location within Mariposa and to catch the YARTS to Yosemite. The room had a characterful vintage and quality fittings, and was provided very clean
