Experience the backwoods in our 200 sq ft tree-house-like one room glamping cabin attached to our home's back deck, nestled in the treetops. The view doesn't get any better off your private deck! Furnished to make simple meals overlooking the boulder brook trout stream. Come escape and unplug to our Appalachian "Eden". (2 miles from paved road, ALL vehicles need 5" clearance, 1.2 mile of uneven gravel/dirt and potholes. NOT suitable for motorcycles. No cell or WiFi. Use ONLY our directions!
We're Doug and Alice, originally from Illinois. We missed our creek property and slower lifestyle so we moved into our tiny vacation home. We built this separate structure to host our family and friends. We think our boulder filled wild brook trout stream is something special so we decided to share it with guests who want to unplug, enjoy adventure (just getting here!) and nature. Want to stay longer? We also rent out “The Junction" (#4115777), a 400 square foot tiny house with full kitchen that sleeps 2, downstream overlooking the same creek.
The backwoods of the Nantahala National Forest is our backyard and playground. If you like trout fishing, hunting, hiking, birding, ATVs, dual sport bikes, mountain bikes or just listening to the sounds of nature, this adventure is right outside your door. No need to get in the car to explore nature, when you live on an old logging road that follows the creek for miles. The stress of civilization starts to fall away as you sit by the creek. It is quiet and remote, surrounded by nature's beauty.
