Great location right by the metro line, in Chinatown and two blocks from little Italy.
Staff didn't tell us the temperature controls were managed by the front desk. There was apparently a sign posted we didn't see. It was so hot in the hotel, which lead to a few very poor nights sleep. We kept having to get up and open the window to cool the room off. There are temperature controls in each room, clearly for looks only - why the staff doesn't put signs on them is anyone's guess.
I loved the high ceilings and tall windows!
We didn't like that we didn't have any closets or even any hangers to hag our clothes! There was only one hanger in bathroom and it was broken!
Nice Hotel on Canal street and Broadway! i had my room on the 9th Floor with a view of the top of the empire which was very nice.it wasn't noisy! so for you light sleepers maybe ask for an higher level room. The staff was very welcoming and nice. Everything is close by!!!! i walked all the time during my stay (WTC,Wall St,Brooklyn B,Empire,Soho,Tribeca,Little Italy,Chinatown, Union Square, Washington Square Park, and more, but if you don't like to walk u have the subway right outside the hotel..literally! i would stay again at the Tribeca Blu Hotel for sure
Location Views Size of the room Cleaness
No heat, rooms have no heating system, I have to sleep with my day clothes on. Extremly cold, my room was 62 degrees. When I reach out to the front desk they said that there is a disclaimer that the room temperature is control from the front desk. I ask to please turn it on and they said it was on but the room has too many windows and wont get heat. Next day they said something about en engineer coming. After the 4th freezing night I end up going to another hotel.
The location was great. The price was right. It served our purposes. Everything was clean and in working order. Neat places to try nearby include Nancy Whiskey and Cup and Saucer Diner.
Room was tiny; one side of the bed was against the wall. There wasn't anywhere to hang anything, except the back of a chair. Wall hooks would have been a help. We were there for only one night; would have been a nightmare for a longer stay. PS. bring earplugs (street noise).
convenient access to public transport,
noisy in many instances and very small rooms. check-in was only possible at 3pm. air condition could not be adjusted in the room and was not adjusted by technician after complaint.
I love this hotel because the staff is great, it's new and clean, the rooms are relatively large for an NYC budget hotel, and it's located right next to two different subway lines that make it super easy to get anywhere in the city. The Tribeca area has amazing boutiques and restaurants. It's a great find.
Bed was very comfortable.
Small room, no closet??
The location was excellent and the room was nice and comfortable, everything we needed.
The bathroom was very, very cold (I think the windows were not sealed properly) and everything as a bit on the small side.
Very friendly and helpful staff.
The water had a brown tint to it. You have to let the water for the shower run for awhile until it got clear.
Very modern and clean hotel in good location, friendly and professional staff. Highly recommend for family, business or leisure visitors.
Easy access to subways and shopping.
Very tiny room, just enough space for the bed.
Location, close to subway lines, broadway shopping
Staff very friendly and hotel very clean
Room are too small no closet just to stay one night its ok
the staff was great. the bed also. the shower. the location. the subway lines. everything was fine.
Too expensive for what you get.
The staff is amazing. The location is by every train. I've stood here often because of this. Simplicity and perfect.
Outside the hotel gangs gathered making it feel unsafe also people trying to sell fake handbags etc Bathroom had mould
not really anything
NO HEAT. Noisy, 2nd floor overlooking busy Canal Street. Old windows, no insulation. Freezing all night. Cheap, horrible place. Not even worth 2 stars! DO NOT STAY HERE!
Very expensive for rather low comfort and low service Bad acoustic isolation Heating system not working
Good location, nice front desk personnel, close to subways and restaurants. Room was clean and comfortable but small.
Very, very loud traffic noise. You hear every car and truck go by. You will not be able to get a restful sleep. Room was very tiny. Fine for just 1 person but not more.
Good location. Friendly and helpful staff. Clean. Good basic amenities. Double we signed up for not available so gave us two connected singles...very nice. An OK room for travellers who want someplace clean with basic amenities in which to 'crash.' I liked it that you can open the windows...a big plus in NY. Also, nice views out the window.
Mattress a little uncomfortable. Could have used at least one more pillow. Rooms small -- no place to hang clothes. Worry about the fact that anyone can go up on elevator...should have card access. (Staff does seem to be vigilant about watching door.) NYC in general seems to have a rating system more lenient and pricing much higher than other cities...you get less and it costs more...this hotel fits into that model...but in that context, it is a good purchase.
Subway just outside the hotel door.
Hotel messed up my booking. We did not get the twin sharing room we booked. We were give 1 double bed. My friend sacrifice her comfort and slept on the floor that first night. No amount of apology or discount can repair that as we booked several months ahead.
Close proximity to subway.
The noise! We had to buy earplugs to sleep as the traffic noise is constant and extremely loud. The room is small with no storage space.
The staff was extremely helpful and responsive. The hotel was pretty clean and the bedding and bed very comfortable.
The fact that there was no closet or even hooks. The location was awful. The hotel seriously needs maintenance. For instance, there were serious water stains on the ceiling. The room also was extremely dark and the lights dim.
