Close to metro, half way between uptown and downtown

Noise from the street, and the wifi was very slow, when working.

I stayed in the Tribeca Blu for one night for business. The staff were extremely friendly and professional. Wi-fi is free which is always a treat. Also, the proximity to the subway is fantastic. Whilst the price would be high most other places in the world, in NYC the cost of the room was reasonable (made better by the fact that I was upgraded - thanks!).

The hotel is a converted office building so rooms are a funky shapes and sizes. I was upgraded to a larger room - which meant I had a bit more space (but only a bit!) and a wardrobe. The downside to the larger room is that there were more windows. That sounds like a good thing, in terms of taking in the view, but because the glass in the windows was not sound proofed, it was quite noisy. NYC is the city that never sleeps - but I would have enjoyed a bit more of it if the windows were thicker/insulated for sound protection. The final thing that could be better is my bed was comfortable but did not have a mattress pad - just a sheet on the mattress.

The subway station is literally outside the door. It is a loud street but we were expecting that going to New York. The only thing we missed was a large mirror. We are 2 young women so no full length mirror made sharing a bathroom a touch annoying.

Located in a central area of NY, close to all major metro lines. Clean rooms.

The air conditioning made the rooms freezing, and could be turned off only from the receptionist, which was often very busy. It can take 3 telephone calls and 1 hour to turn A/C off. After this, it can start again at 6 am without advice. The hotel is on one of the most noisy streets of NY, so you should sleep with windows closed.

Subway is next to the hotel's door Good location though it's close to Chinatown

Rooms are really small and probably it's incorrect information in the hotel description on the room size.

After reading the other reviews, we decided it would be well worth the extra $18 a night to get a large corner room. After booking I called and requested a room on an upper floor to cut down on noise. The room was very light with 2 walls of windows, but blackout curtains were excellent. The bathroom was very clean and modern. No problems with the shower or with hot water. The bed was very comfortable. There was a small closet. I had extra hangers so was able to hang up most things. It would have been nice to have a small chest of drawers too. The room had an iron and ironing board, a safe, coffee maker, and a hair dryer. The desk clerks were friendly and helpful, especially Tamel and Kevin. The main reason we chose this hotel was because of the excellent public transportation. There are several different subway and bus lines within a couple of blocks of the hotel. A few are right outside the door. The hotel is right on the edge of Chinatown and Little Italy so there were many restaurant choices.

The main problem with the hotel is a badly designed air conditioning system. The small rooms get so cold that they have to turn off the air conditioning to the whole floor. Then our large room got very hot. That was a problem since the covers are duvets and it is necessary to have the room at about 70 degrees to be able to sleep under one. We got a 50% credit on the night when the air conditioner went out completely. When I hear that the hotel has worked out their air conditioning problem, I would gladly stay there again. Except for the AC any other problems were minor. A couple of days (We stayed 10 days in July.) we didn't get any washcloths. And several days we didn't get any coffee; they had run out. I slept with earplugs since the hotel is on a very busy corner; my husband was okay without.

Room very noisy due to street traffic. Air conditioning was a problem as we didn't have room control. The room was very small.

Great location on the edge of Chinatown and Little Italy and literally just in front of a subway entrance!

The air conditioning cannot be controlled, except by the staff per floor. When it is on, the rooms are really cold, and despite you making it clear to the staff you do not want to sleep in such cold conditions, you have to request them to put it off every single night separately.

    Just right outside the subway.

First room i got, the shower ain't working and the airconbas well. Someone was fixing the aircon next door and they pop in to fix mine but still got to change a new room due to the shower. Again I have difficulty with getting my aircon on in the new room and the rude staff, told me that i can't control my aircon in my room despite there's a controller in it and it was actually working in my last room. I think they are saving up on aircon and the staff is giving a cant be bothered answer to not do anything. You shld just avoid this place.

    Nothing

The entrance is easy to miss. Housekeeping threw away personal belongings, such as expensive dental fixtures. No room service, and questionable cleanliness. Louder than average outside, because of street merchants.
