Subway just outside the hotel door.
Hotel messed up my booking. We did not get the twin sharing room we booked. We were give 1 double bed. My friend sacrifice her comfort and slept on the floor that first night. No amount of apology or discount can repair that as we booked several months ahead.
Close proximity to subway.
The noise! We had to buy earplugs to sleep as the traffic noise is constant and extremely loud. The room is small with no storage space.
The staff was extremely helpful and responsive. The hotel was pretty clean and the bedding and bed very comfortable.
The fact that there was no closet or even hooks. The location was awful. The hotel seriously needs maintenance. For instance, there were serious water stains on the ceiling. The room also was extremely dark and the lights dim.
Good location, close to Chinatown, SOHO in lower Manhattan. Metro station Canal station is just out of door.
Very small room, no resturant in the hotel, no proper kettle in the room only has a small coffee machine
-Not double glazed windows, so you are sleeping on one side of the highway... Noise, noise, noise... -No place to hang or fold your clothes and hardly any space to open your suitcase -Pillows as hard as a rock
Metro lines are close, easy to reach other parts of the city. Nothing else
This was our first trip to New York so some things could have been strange anyway, but: - this hotel is practically in Chinatown, incredible amount of people and noise 24 hrs a day - the deluxe room was so small that we could open the luggages on the bed because there was no other space in the room. - had to keep all our clothes in the suitcases as there was nothing in the room (neither space nor wardrobe or hangers or anything). - staff was ok but not really knowledgeable
The location - right on crossroads of four districts. Very busy hustle and bustle road, close to China Town, Little Italy, the finacial district. Walking distance to Ground Zero, and Brooklyn Bridge area. Very clean. Comfortable beds. Helpful staff.
First night we had no safe as it was broken. Took 24 hrs until fixed. No kettle in room, just a one cup per time filter coffee machine. However, bearing in mind the low cost of the room, these were minor issues.
I loved the location- except that it was difficult to find a late night snack or drink after 11pm in that area. It was clean overall and comfortable. It's really easy to get to from the airports via subway and literally right at the top of the Canal street station stairs.
I didn't like that housekeeping didn't service my room on my second day. I didn't like that during the day the corner of Canal and Broadway is frantic with vendors and I found it annoying that I couldn't find a decent place to eat or drink after 11pm
I was in NY for a wedding and the blu hotel was very close to all the funtion that i had to attend
I dint like the way they cleaned the bathroon and not enoghf towel
Staff were very helpful.
Room was very small. Nowhere to put the suitcases or clothes. Could only access the bed from one side. Bed was small.
The staff and location were excellent. Located in the so called fashion district between time square and the financial areas. great access to the subway
Would have been nice if there were a gym or exercise room on site. a little far from a good breakfast spot.
Good water pressure in the shower
Bathroom door didnt slide properly resulting in several occasions where one was stuck in the bathroom. Street noise was constant, all day and all night, ear plugs made sleep just possible. Heavy trucks are diverted down Canal St rather than using other roads. Don't stay here if you are a light sleeper
Location is great, directly at the corner Canal St/Broadway. Many different subways in walking distance. Staff is very friendly.
Rooms very small. Noisy at night, since Canal St is a main road through the area and also at night a lot of cars, trucks, buses etc. drive through. Aircon cannot be turned on or off individually by room (connected to the whole floor). We managed to find a good temperature, but at night someone always turned the whole floor off....
The bathroom door was a bit difficult.
The convenience of being so near to the subway. The staff was friendly and helpful.
The constant noise from the subway and the honking of car horns at all hours. The housekeeping staff was inconsistent, and I had to ask for toilet paper for my room twice, even they were in my room and made the bed each day.
Close to metro, half way between uptown and downtown
Noise from the street, and the wifi was very slow, when working.
Very helpful staff at the reception. Very convenient location, as close as possible to a subway.
Great location Many Subway Lines in the surroundings It's busy area so you'll find a lot of shopping opportunities and cabs Friendly and Helpful staff King Room is very confortable
From time to time room temperature was too low for me, but the staff always fixed it very promptly
Really nice area and near all subways. Can live here next time.
Location Great traditional cast iron building Guy at check-in was very nice, rest of staff was not.
Wifi sometimes great, sometimes non existent
The best placement in Manhattan.
The price. It was expensive.
I stayed in the Tribeca Blu for one night for business. The staff were extremely friendly and professional. Wi-fi is free which is always a treat. Also, the proximity to the subway is fantastic. Whilst the price would be high most other places in the world, in NYC the cost of the room was reasonable (made better by the fact that I was upgraded - thanks!).
The hotel is a converted office building so rooms are a funky shapes and sizes. I was upgraded to a larger room - which meant I had a bit more space (but only a bit!) and a wardrobe. The downside to the larger room is that there were more windows. That sounds like a good thing, in terms of taking in the view, but because the glass in the windows was not sound proofed, it was quite noisy. NYC is the city that never sleeps - but I would have enjoyed a bit more of it if the windows were thicker/insulated for sound protection. The final thing that could be better is my bed was comfortable but did not have a mattress pad - just a sheet on the mattress.
Nothing good to comment
Location and the staff
very small room.
