I was in NY for a wedding and the blu hotel was very close to all the funtion that i had to attend
I dint like the way they cleaned the bathroon and not enoghf towel
Staff were very helpful.
Room was very small. Nowhere to put the suitcases or clothes. Could only access the bed from one side. Bed was small.
The staff and location were excellent. Located in the so called fashion district between time square and the financial areas. great access to the subway
Would have been nice if there were a gym or exercise room on site. a little far from a good breakfast spot.
Good water pressure in the shower
Bathroom door didnt slide properly resulting in several occasions where one was stuck in the bathroom. Street noise was constant, all day and all night, ear plugs made sleep just possible. Heavy trucks are diverted down Canal St rather than using other roads. Don't stay here if you are a light sleeper
The bathroom door was a bit difficult.
The convenience of being so near to the subway. The staff was friendly and helpful.
The constant noise from the subway and the honking of car horns at all hours. The housekeeping staff was inconsistent, and I had to ask for toilet paper for my room twice, even they were in my room and made the bed each day.
Close to metro, half way between uptown and downtown
Noise from the street, and the wifi was very slow, when working.
Very helpful staff at the reception. Very convenient location, as close as possible to a subway.
Great location Many Subway Lines in the surroundings It's busy area so you'll find a lot of shopping opportunities and cabs Friendly and Helpful staff King Room is very confortable
From time to time room temperature was too low for me, but the staff always fixed it very promptly
Really nice area and near all subways. Can live here next time.
Location Great traditional cast iron building Guy at check-in was very nice, rest of staff was not.
Wifi sometimes great, sometimes non existent
The best placement in Manhattan.
The price. It was expensive.
I stayed in the Tribeca Blu for one night for business. The staff were extremely friendly and professional. Wi-fi is free which is always a treat. Also, the proximity to the subway is fantastic. Whilst the price would be high most other places in the world, in NYC the cost of the room was reasonable (made better by the fact that I was upgraded - thanks!).
The hotel is a converted office building so rooms are a funky shapes and sizes. I was upgraded to a larger room - which meant I had a bit more space (but only a bit!) and a wardrobe. The downside to the larger room is that there were more windows. That sounds like a good thing, in terms of taking in the view, but because the glass in the windows was not sound proofed, it was quite noisy. NYC is the city that never sleeps - but I would have enjoyed a bit more of it if the windows were thicker/insulated for sound protection. The final thing that could be better is my bed was comfortable but did not have a mattress pad - just a sheet on the mattress.
Nothing good to comment
Location and the staff
very small room.
The subway station is literally outside the door. It is a loud street but we were expecting that going to New York. The only thing we missed was a large mirror. We are 2 young women so no full length mirror made sharing a bathroom a touch annoying.
-good position. the subway is just out of the hotel. -clean room -good wi fi connection
-real room didn't match the deluxe room booked and the hotel had no alternative solutions. - no possibility to regulate the airconditioning system into the room (too cold) -very small room
Close to all trandport
location, comfortable bed, good shower
A/C didnt always work and had to call reception couple of times, lower floors are noisy a bit
Located in a central area of NY, close to all major metro lines. Clean rooms.
The air conditioning made the rooms freezing, and could be turned off only from the receptionist, which was often very busy. It can take 3 telephone calls and 1 hour to turn A/C off. After this, it can start again at 6 am without advice. The hotel is on one of the most noisy streets of NY, so you should sleep with windows closed.
Subway is next to the hotel's door Good location though it's close to Chinatown
Rooms are really small and probably it's incorrect information in the hotel description on the room size.
After reading the other reviews, we decided it would be well worth the extra $18 a night to get a large corner room. After booking I called and requested a room on an upper floor to cut down on noise. The room was very light with 2 walls of windows, but blackout curtains were excellent. The bathroom was very clean and modern. No problems with the shower or with hot water. The bed was very comfortable. There was a small closet. I had extra hangers so was able to hang up most things. It would have been nice to have a small chest of drawers too. The room had an iron and ironing board, a safe, coffee maker, and a hair dryer. The desk clerks were friendly and helpful, especially Tamel and Kevin. The main reason we chose this hotel was because of the excellent public transportation. There are several different subway and bus lines within a couple of blocks of the hotel. A few are right outside the door. The hotel is right on the edge of Chinatown and Little Italy so there were many restaurant choices.
The main problem with the hotel is a badly designed air conditioning system. The small rooms get so cold that they have to turn off the air conditioning to the whole floor. Then our large room got very hot. That was a problem since the covers are duvets and it is necessary to have the room at about 70 degrees to be able to sleep under one. We got a 50% credit on the night when the air conditioner went out completely. When I hear that the hotel has worked out their air conditioning problem, I would gladly stay there again. Except for the AC any other problems were minor. A couple of days (We stayed 10 days in July.) we didn't get any washcloths. And several days we didn't get any coffee; they had run out. I slept with earplugs since the hotel is on a very busy corner; my husband was okay without.
Location and proximity to the subway
Room very noisy due to street traffic. Air conditioning was a problem as we didn't have room control. The room was very small.
great location near the soho, and on a subway station staff was very helpful and kind very (!) small rooms but nice and clean BIG LIKE!
there was a problem with the air-condition on the 7's floor - ask to be on a different one...
Location Friendly and helpful staff Cleanliness
Room very small Air conditioning failures
