the bed was confrt and the bathroom clean
Our room on 1st floor of the hotel was not cleaned for a whole day although we draw the attention of the receptionist twice in one day. The housekeepers knocked at our door only in the pm at 5 when we were taking a short rest. We then went out for dinner and upon returning the room had not been cleaned. Upon complaint to the manager the next day, she did not apologise or offered any sympathy. She was cold and detached and only told us that we didn’t let them in at 5 pm while we were taking a nap! Flabbergasting, considering it’s a very central hotel, very conveniently located, with average reviews. Also considering that the day before as well (we stayed overall 4 nights) our room was not cleaned by 5 pm and we had to tell the receptionist. Upon cleaning, no refill of coffee for the coffee maker was left in our room, nor any glasses. We are not impressed at all and would not come back here.
Friendly staff, great value, great location, nice rooms!!
Cold in the room!!
The staff was very helpful and friendly.
First, this location is very, very loud--every room is just above Canal Street at a very busy juncture. I travel to NYC several times per year, and can always sleep with the white noise app on my phone. Here, it was nearly impossible. The hotel is also very bare-bones on amenities. The thermostat had to be controlled from the front desk (which to me is unacceptable). They DID bring me a space heater, but that's what you expect to have happen staying at your aunt's house or something, not in a decent hotel. Also, the bed was made up with only a flat sheet covering the mattress, and the comforter on top--not my idea of clean or even hygienic. It was a decent value if you don't mind bare-bones amenities and if you can sleep through an extreme amount of noise. I would not choose it again, however.
The absence of a clothes-closet
Comfortable, not too noisy, convenient location
No cleaning of room or fresh towels on two day stay. Coffee maker had old tea bag in it, front desk clerk was polite but not helpful.
Noise outside & Tiny room
The hotel was located very close to the subway where it was very easy to get anywhere in the city.
The room was a little small even though we were never there. It was s hassle to try and move around with a big suitcase. There was no dresser and a very small closet. The shower was small, with a very low shower head (I'm a tall guy, my girlfriend is short and was fine for her) and there wasn't much hot water after the second night.
Near to mta
plenty of windows and light in room
could not control heat, thermostat not working
The receptionest, friendly and Helpful
The room was Tiny, We had no where for our cases so we shuffled around them, the Bathroom did not even hold our wash stuff comfortable.....it was not good
The staff was nice.
Room did not match online description. Bed was itchy and stiff as a board. It was hot as Hell too, without the ability to open the window, turn on a fan or AC, or the staff turning down the heat. Worst night of sleep on the road - and I've slept in VW bugs.
The staff, nice and helpful
The mean release of toiletries and the unacceptable lack of cleanliness specially on the carpet. The linen and towels OK.
The very charming person at the checkin desk.
Hotel location is good, subway entrance is right next door.
Quite expensive for what you've got. I expected something stylish yet rooms are too small. No breakfast. Wi-fi slow. Some personnel is helpful, some not, no standard. Walls are thin, you can hear everything next door.
My room was never made. Towels never switched.
Linens a bit threadbare...front desk staff very curt
A little tight, no closet. Request a closet when making a reservation.
The place was very clean and cozy and the price is good for the location.
No breakfast or coffee
Things was just nice and the staff
No ice machines or snack machines or the room floor had to go to the basement
Fully remodeled very kind and courteous staff had no complaints and a very nice three night stay
Very well located hotel near the subway and walking distance to many of the places we needed to go. Wi-Fi was stable and available. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. We enjoyed our stay even though the room itself was very small. Price was right, however.
We didn't spend much time in our room, but couldn't have because it was really not designed for two people. It was very small barely accommodating a full size bed, a desk, and small bathroom. There was little space to hang clothes. I would suggest adding luggage racks and hooks for hanging clothes.
The fact that I was charged on my credit card and I didn't reimburse me. Poor management!!!
the place very good
the bed too small, the room is too small
Rooms are definitely too small
Very clean and quite new. Great location. Nice price.
Smaller than I thought but quite a 'standard' size for the city, gathering from the hotels that my friends stayed in.
