Peaceful tranquil place to come and let your mind escape. Three generations of the same family own and look after the property, which was very unique inside, having been renovated by a prominent London architect in the 1970s. They made me feel beyond welcome, I felt as if I had met them before. A very special place, not your generic BnB, it has history and stories to tell plus abundant wildlife. It is miles from any busy main roads or towns, and next to Malham Tarn, a large high altitude fresh water lake. Has a resident tawny owl with chicks and cheeky foxes. Plenty of walks, situated within walking distance to Malham cove and Settle.

Our room was very comfortable with a four poster bed and ensuite shower room. We had a table by the fire for dinner - the food was great, I'm vegetarian and the vegetarian pie was really good. The staff were great, really helpful and friendly. Breakfast was between 8.30 and 9am which is admittedly slightly earlier than we'd get up on a Sunday, but breakfast was delicious with everything freshly cooked and it meant we packed more into the day!
