Catalonia Santa Justa, hotel in Seville

Catalonia Santa Justa is located a short walk from Seville's historic centre, and just 650 metres from Santa Justa AVE Train Station. It offers a sun terrace, rooftop swimming pool, and a hot tub.

The hotel exceeded my expectations. First I have been upgraded from a double room to a premium double room. (A big thank you to the kind receptionist Pedro) The room was not above the lobby but in the back, a very traditional part of the hotel with only 2 floors. The room was very very quiet, even though it was next to the lift. The bed was so comfortable and really huge and so was the bathroom/shower as well. The location is perfect if you are coming from the airport, or from the train station Santa Justa. From the hotel you can get to the 'Setas' in less than 10 minutes walk. There is a supermarket next to the hotel should you need something. The breakfast was good, with fresh orange juice and enough choices for everyone. The rooftop pool and sundeck were a big plus to enjoy the afternoon sun and grab a drink from the bar. The view is amazing, you can see the cathedral from the pool. I would definitely go back again. See you soon :)

FAQs about hotels in Seville

Hot by Day, Hotter by Night

Seville is a city that lends itself perfectly to just wandering around and soaking up the atmosphere. And there is plenty of atmosphere to be soaked up.

People watching is very much a pastime here, and all over Seville restaurants teem with well-heeled locals enjoying a laidback coffee or cerveza under the shade of a citrus tree.

The city also has its fair share of must-see sights. Top of the list is Plaza de España whose monumental, semi-circular building is elaborately decorated with Andalusian tiles. Also typically Andalusian is the Seville Bull Ring, though what goes on inside may not be to everyone’s taste. The resting place of Christopher Columbus, UNESCO World Heritage-listed Seville Cathedral is an awe-inspiring structure whose vast vaults provide welcome relief from the heat of the day.

But it’s after dark that things really start to heat up. Streets pulse to the rhythm of flamenco, and with more bars per inhabitant than anywhere else in Europe, there’s no shortage of choice for nightlife.

Just on the outskirts of the city is Seville Airport. Public transport from here provides easy access to the array of Seville hotels, guest houses and apartments that Booking.com has to offer.

Adorable city with so much to see and try. Visited during Feria de Abril and that was a special experience; people dressed and partying. Best way to experience the city is on foot; visit palaces and parks. So many options for eating; restaurants are on every corner and the food is good. I recommend it!

It is a beautiful city, which is walkable for the young and fit. Th less fit & the elderly can benefit from getting to know the buses and taking the very reasonably prices taxis. If there are 4 of you, a circular carriage-ride at the fixed price of €45 is a lovely thing to do. There are plentiful places to eat. The least favourite was right in the centre (can't remember the name) and it was ok-ish to fair. I discovered many tapas bars and restaurants where the food was a freshly cooked delight. Service was (almost exclusively) efficient, courteous and friendly. Prices very reasonable compared with London. There is so much to see that more than one visit is advisable. It is best to book ahead on the official sites for the Cathedral and the Alcazar. For the Palaces and other attractions it is best to go early but probably not necessary to book ahead. My visit was in early May. Possibly the most perfect time to visit.

Loads to see and do. Excellent food and not expensive.

Loads to see and do. Excellent food and not expensive. Friendly people. Must visits. The Alcazar, Cathedral, Setas at night. We thought the sites were great value for money. We ate out every night and the food was affordable and excellent. Seville is a very walkable city, the roads are narrow making it difficult to navigate at first, however that is part of the enjoyment as you won't get lost for too long and may find a quieter cafe away from the main areas. We took a train ride to Cordoba, fast train takes around 1 hour. It too is worth a day visit, go to the Cathedral/Mosque Highly recommend Seville.

Seville is a great city for walking.

Seville is a great city for walking. The highlights are certainly the cathedral, the Alcazar (do try and book a tour of the royal apartments-so worth it), plaza de España, and perhaps Setas de Seville. We loved wandering the streets of the Triana and Santa Cruz neighborhoods trying tapas at different spots along the way. We look forward to returning!

Cathedral was amazing. Get tickets before you go.... The Alcazar Palace was exceptional. Horses at Jerez was lovely...bus journey went well. Bus station is actually really attractive. The private house called Casa del Pilatos was wonderful with stunning gardens. We walked around the streets a lot and saw some interesting sights. Queue for the bull ring was a tad too long. Seville was very clean indeed. The Flamenco is a must- went to the one near our hotel and it was superb. Shopping is great fun especially the fashion and the Spanish 'look'. Some quality goods for sale. Saw a religious procession with a band which was fun to see. The only thing we didn't like was an absolutely awful group of ' beggars' masquerading as entertainers who seemed to be everywhere we went. Worst street entertainers ever! The cafes seem to put up with them but it gave Seville a bad name in our view. They were aggressive when you refused to give them cash! Food was pretty good everywhere. But we did have one bad meal which was our most expensive one Steaks at El Passage. Avoid!

A beautiful building. The room was bright and large, and not overly decorated. It felt very clean. The bed was very comfortable with clean, soft sheets. The bathroom was clean, the shower was good. The coffee in the room was great, and the breakfast was a nice touch, especially the fresh orange juice. The reception staff was very personable. It was the perfect place for a family of 3 to stay. We traveled to 5 cities in southern Spain and this was the best hotel. It felt the closest to being at home.

This is a great hotel with very nice and helpful staff. The hotel is very close to the Plaza de Armas station with links to other cities in Spain and Portugal. It's very convenient, you just need to cross the street. The breakfast was exceptional and presented very nicely. During our stay, it was very hot outside, and there was always lemon water at the reception for the guests, you could drink it and cool off at once. If we come back to Seville again, we will definitely stay here.
