Ideal for nature lovers looking for a self-sufficient getaway, lodges are fully furnished and have kitchen facilities. Usually made of wood and surrounded by forests or mountains, lodges can be part of a group or a single unit. More remote than vacation homes, lodges are popular for safari trips.
Located right on the edge of Heaton Park a short walk from the tram stop.
I have stayed at The Lodge on several occasions and it is always extremely comfortable and whilst I have not met the host his attention to detail is exceptional.
The entrance gave the impression of a modern, stylish hotel. Then you go to your room & it made Travelodge look luxurious. £160 for one night, room only. Paper cups to have your tea in. Tiny room with minimal hanging space. We had travelled from Glasgow to see a play and upon return in the evening, the entrance was like a pub at closing time. No staff had bothered to clear any tables of empty glasses and return the chairs to their relevant tables. It was grotesque actually and I certainly would never stay here again.
Very good value for money, the lodge was clean to a high standard, very good amenities, good location, coffee machine was a God send. The host was very accommodating and quick to assist us during our stay. We really enjoyed our stay there and we will definitely book it again. Lovely lodge
It is so easy to find. On a main road and very well signposted. Have travelled to Manchester often in the last 25 years. Usually stay in Travel lodges or Premier Inn. Never again will we settle for adequate. And value for money. This hotel knocks the spots off all of them. Value for money is off the scale. Such warm and comfortable surroundings. Everything was faultless.
Will 100 per cent stay there in the future. The rest of the party stayed in one of their apartments, which was equally good 👍
The lodge is slightly outside of Manchester so it was quiet. There was an event there on that particular weekend so I can attest that the hotel rooms are well isolated from the bar / restaurant noise area because we didn't hear anything at all.
The room was small but did the job we needed (we litteraly just needed to sleep and be able to take showers).
The staff was extremely nice and amazing (we only spent one evening there and the receptionist remembered my name when he saw me the next day).
Very good. Central location.. Hotel is as it looks in the pictures.. one step up from a travelodge or Premier Inn..not trying to be anything else.. staff friendly and attentive..
it was the perfect excellent lodge to stay and very quite. Also the host was very very helpful and respond fast to question as we are not from manchester but kudos to the Host.he was helpful.
We did not have breakfast.
It was a different experience for us, with the word budget, we were expecting something like Travelodge.
The size of the room was okay for one person.
The toilet and shower were too small. It made my daughter claustrophobic and she didn't have shower there the two days. Had to go somewhere else to have a shower
