Just a 2-minute walk from Takayama Station, Oyado Koto No Yume offers Japanese-style rooms with a colourful touch. Very friendly and helpful staff. The futon was comfortable, the private onsen was great, and the Japanese breakfast was delicious. Great location next to the train station.

時のホテル is situated in Toki, within 44 km of Nagoya Station and 45 km of Aeon Mall Atsuta. The property is around 41 km from Oasis 21, 42 km from Toyota Stadium and 42 km from Nagoya Castle. Everything was great. I'd absolutely stay here again and again. The staff was not fluent in English but they were very helpful and used a translating app to speak to us. The room was clean, breakfast was great, the sauna and hot springs (2 large bath tubs) were amazing as well. 5 Stars.

Offering a sun terrace and views of the garden, Tajimi Guest House is set in the middle of nature, 3 km from Tajimi Station. The property was beautiful and thoughtful. The mid-century furniture and beautiful ceramics on display made the accommodation feel very peaceful and homely. The doors opened up onto a peaceful garden with a creek running through it. Will definitely return next time we are in Japan. The hosts were very accommodating and friendly.

Awarded by TripAdvisor Travelers' Choice in 2015, Wanosato offers luxurious Japanese-style ryokan stay in a 160-year-old quaint Gassho-zukuri thatched-roof house, nestled in the tranquil woods. Everything! My husband and I can’t thank the team of Wanosato enough. It was such an amazing experience and they were so kind, gentle and thoughtful. One of the highlights - if not THE highlight - of our trip.

Reopened after renovation in 2022, Auberge Hidanomori is situated in quiet hills, a 10-minute shuttle ride from JR Takayama Station. Exceptional - the location is stunning, the owners so warm and friendly, the dinner was truly an experience - the paired wines really elevated the experience. The decor has been carefully thought out. The onsen was really enjoyable. Probably one of the best meals/experiences I have had. The owners and staff deserve real credit for how much attention to detail, creativity, love and perfection they have put into this place. 10/10 experience, we hope to come back!!!

Offering traditional Japanese-style accommodation with spacious public baths, Yatsusankan is a 6-minute walk from JR Hidafurukawa Train Station. Customer Service The customer service from the staff is exceptional. I believe the hotel/staff uses Booking.com as the main communication, after I completed the booking, they sent me a message a few days before the check-in to let me know some basic info. I overlooked it. Otherwise, when you arrived the hotel, there was a staff that showed you around the hotel, introducing you the facilities, the procedures and regulations, what time is dinner/breakfast, what to eat, bathhouse regulations, etc... They will help you with your luggage and as I drove to the hotel, you just need to drive to the front door and they'll help you park the car. Room The room is spacious and clean with separate toilet and shower/bath. If you choose the tatami bed rooms, not to worry about it. Whilst you have your dinner, they will set it up for you so when you return to your room, its well set up. Bathhouse / Onsen They are clean and very comfortable. Obviously there are separate male and female ones with indoor and outdoor available. Two very different settings. We only managed to explore the outdoor ones. For the outdoor ones, they usually change it overnight to give both male and females a different environment and views. I would suggest you to visit it at check-in and go for a quick visit in the morning before you check out. As I only stayed for 1 night, I didn't manage to have time to visit the indoor one. Food I chose the dinner and breakfast option, it was very delicious and well enough to eat. Most of the dishes were small portions but after a few dishes it should be enough. Inside the room there is a biscuit and tea available. Environment There are plenty of resting and lounge areas for you to sit down to read, watch your on tablet or chat with friends/family/partner or simply just zone. There is one big lounge or resting area that has 2 massage chairs, 2 sofas with some basic small massage equipments to massage yourself.

Nestled between untouched nature in the tranquil Northern Alps area, Hidaji offers spacious Japanese-style accommodation with traditional architecture. The hotel makes us feel liked we are in the real traditional japanese life. The facility is very comfortable . Also the greatness and mouth-watering breakfast and dinner. Recommend to try
