First of all what a fantastic location. The looks, style and atmosphere of this building are magnificent. Second the host Rob and his staff were really providing all kind of tips (things to visit, places to eat and get Coffee,...) to get the maximum out of our stay. Furthermore everyone was superfriendly. Breakfast was great. The room was spacious and had style. No loadshedding! Could have stayed here for longer...

Situated at the base of the wild Tsitsikamma Mountains, The Fernery overlooks an impressive 30-metre waterfall in the Sanddrift River gorge. The Chalet was clean, spacious and in beautiful surroundings. Comfy beds, enough power points, good working internet. The kitchenette was well appointed. Lots of entertainment from the monkeys and wonderful bird life. Super friendly staff, great breakfast and dinner. Even the wine list (we are wine exporters) was impressive.

14 km from Valley of Desolation, Die Dorpshuis Graaff Reinet is a recently renovated property situated in Graaff-Reinet and features air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi and private parking. Everything was perfect ! Normally if you arrive after 4h pm.they give you the directions to get the keys but they have waiting for me. The appartement was bigger than expected, I asked to have a bath and they give me a appartement with bath. Everything was there in the kitchen. Bed comfortable and good location. Best quality price

The Host was responsive and available and even met us in the dark to hand the keys over to us. The host thought of every little detail - peaceful night spray, emergency lights charged and ready to go if needed, a carton of fresh milk for coffee, an honor bar with an assortment of beverages for the road weary traveler, a well stocked kitchen with every untensil and dish one would need; fresh fluffy white towels in abundance, comfy duvets and extra blankets in a basket; a container of wood for the fireplace, along with quick start blocks, as well as an outdoor braai ready to go including nice kindling. I travel alot and have stayed in many places all over the world - this Host and accomodation is the BEST I'VE EVER STAYED IN! We felt so fortunate to have found Cats Whiskers!
