This was honestly a hidden gem! It was absolutely spotless, extremely comfortable, and had everything you need. The host also provides a fridge in the room which was super handy. Not only that, it was only a short walk from places like the Bear Pit, Old Town, multiple viewpoints, and the river, or a short bus/tram journey to the main train station. I absolutely loved every minute of my stay here, and the host was absolutely lovely- even when I managed to have issues with the door at gone 10pm, she was nothing but helpful and kind! I couldn't recommend staying here more, it truly felt like a home away from home. I can't understand how it isn't fully booked constantly! (My second night, I was the only one there!) If you're looking for a place to stay in Bern, honestly look no further!

We made reservations for a spacious studio-like room/appartment, but at arrival immediately got an upgrade to a very big (4 bedroom) appartment (since it wasn't occupied by others anyway, according to the landlady). Very kind and thoughtful! All facilities and comfort you could think of were present and the appartment is at walking distance to the city centre (10-15 minutes). Very helpful and kind hostess. For us this is an absolute 10 (also if we wouldn't have gotten the upgrade).

The host offered bread, cheese, homemade jam, and fresh fruit. There is a refrigerator which then we filled ourselves with milk, and other stuff. The host also has a Tshibo coffee machine with assortment of capsules. It was very cozy and beautifully decorated. The apartment in the house has 2 stories, upstairs the bedroom and bathroom, and downstairs for relaxing. The garden is stunning with many roses and plants and many other garden decorations. It is a relaxing experience to sit in the garden and enjoy the view. It is very obvious that the host enjoys preparing this location for rent. In addition, it is located on a hilltop, where you can go take leisurely walks or go hiking. With a short car ride you can go to the city of Thun which is worth visiting.
