It was a nice facility and right on the water. A classic Scottish Inn. Loved the bar area, but the warm greetings from the staff was the best part. Dinner was also very good.

Location-wise is the perfect place to enjoy the magnificent sandy beaches of Harris.

Located in Balallan and with Callanish Standing Stones reachable within 20 miles, Loch Erisort Hotel has a garden, non-smoking rooms, free WiFi and a bar. We liked the location because it was remote, quite and beautiful, and was central to several thing. It was a short drive from Stornoway, close to some of the sights we wanted to see, and a quick shot to Tarbert for the ferry back. The staff was polite and helpful, and the breakfast was excellent.

Stornoway's largest hotel, Caladh Inn is just half a mile to Stornoway Lewis Ferry Terminal and less than 3 miles from Stornoway Airport. Free Wi-Fi and free private parking are available. Very nice facility, luxury stay. Room was difficult to locate, need map of hotel. Signs needed to find reception, the sign existing is in the wrong place.
