Maria and Dora were amazing hosts; we felt like at home since the first second we entered the White Swan. We received a lot of hints about the city and Crete in general. At the end of our stay we also received a bottle of olive oil produced by the family nearby. We were so happy there! The stay itself looks great, it is very stylish , it is extremly clean, very well located and lovely :) We would recommend the stay to everyone planning to visit Rhetymno :)))))) You will feel like a part of a Greek family.

Facing the beachfront, Enorme Santanna Beach offers 4-star accommodation in Ierápetra and has a seasonal outdoor swimming pool, fitness centre and garden. All the staff was extremely nice and helpfull all the time. The rooms are very nicely organized and furnished (we loved the 2 large closets for clothes in which we could also fit all our lugagge, thus keeping the room tidy as we like it). Panagiota (if i remember corectly) from the spa has magic hands :D. We also loved that there was a small gym with just enough equipment for us. The entire complex is very nice, with small buildings that sit on a steep hill (they helped with luggage and a golf car is always available for anyone who might need it). It is very well maintained and constantly cleaned. There is a tunnel under the road that connects the hotel to the beach, which is great. You might say that the beach is not great (rocky, with small black pebbles and some sand), but after you visit 8 other beaches in the south-east part, you realize the beach is actually very good.

I just didn't get that sense of personal connection in the restaurants that I really associate with the Greek islands - service was competent, but lacked interest or identity. The beaches are sandy but many are so packed with loungers that you can't even see them anyway! I didn't like having to pay for the loungers - not because they were expensive (5 euros for two) - but because it just lacked hospitality. There aren't any landmarks of particular note. The island is green, but lacks the riotous color of flowers or horticultural variety. The villages are cute and the whole island is ringed by a high quality road, so access to the whole island is easy.The car ferries are very organized so getting to the island is also extremely stress-free.

Samothraki is one of the most beautiful greek islands with amazing nature. The most impressive part of Samothraki is the mountain and all the beautiful streams and waterfalls. It is a great place for hiking and swimming in the streams/waterfalls and the sea. The most beautiful beaches are Pachia Ammos and Kipos. The food is great almost everywhere you go and the prices are very reasonable. Also, it is one of the most quiet islands and still not very accessible to many tourists. This makes it a great place for relaxing vacations!
Skiathos is the worst of the Greek islands. Sheep from U.K. gather there swimming in their own excrement since the island has no sewage provision whatsoever, drinking their over priced beer and eating the rubbish they feed them thinking this is true Greece or Bahamas! Well it is not!
Very green island. The beaches are absolutely amazing, very similar to what find in the Caribbean. Transportation in the island is very good. Not very expensive island if you compare it to other Greek islands.
The beaches are the best in Elafonisos! I've been to many of the other Greek Islands and hands down, Elafonisos is one of the better islands! Although Small, it hits the mark! Enjoy!!
Don't have experience with Greek islands but after visiting Skiathos I am not going on any other island. Just perfect place to spend holiday.
Skopelos is a really lovely, relaxing place to stay. Everyone was really friendly, it took me back to when I first fell in love with the Greek islands. My recommendations are: take a boat trip to Alinissos - we chose the glass bottomed tour at €25 because it allowed us maximum freedom, visit some of the beaches (everyone has a different favourite); for the best food go to To Rodi. Muses also has great food and a view over the harbour, while Finikas is food like your Greek mama would make - if you were very lucky. Last, but by no means least go to The Hidden Door (Paraporti) for cocktails - they are way better than elsewhere and well worth a couple of extra euros. If you like beer, the owner also has the Sporades only microbrewery.
There are an abundance of bars, tavernas and shops to suit all tastes. The local beach is good with some good taverns. Lots of side streets to explore. Very friendly locals, as is always the case in the Greek islands. The ferry to Skopolos is very reasonably priced. The only negative was the scooters/bikes driving up and down the side streets and pedestrianised walkways throughout the day.
Skiathos town is like one huge holiday resort in June. It buzzes with tourists, there are eating establishments everywhere, shops and beautiful places to stroll such as along the new and old ports, up to the church and clock tower and up into the hills behind. There is a frequent bus service to all the beaches and also a bus to the large monastery up on the hill. It is a summer holiday destination and unlike many of the more southern Greek islands, it is covered in thick green vegetation and has fine sandy beaches,
It has a gorgeous view of the Lindos Acropolis and town. Minutes away from beautiful beaches and good restaurants. Quiet, clean and nice looking hotel. Any issues we had were addressed and taken care of right away. Same day laundry! Helpful, accommodating and friendly staff. Clean, nice rooms with great a/c. Nice pool. Good breakfast. This hotel is a home run- one of my favorite hotels we have stayed at in the Greek islands! They even supplied us with water and some treats from a local bakery in our room when we arrived.
Lovely hotel in perfect location - walking distance to 3 lovely beaches, restaurants and bus stop. Warm welcome by Dimitra & Kiriaki the reception staff and they were always so helpful. Fantastic breakfast - Elizabeth takes such pride in her meals and cooks with love....greets guests each morning and explains the dishes she has prepared. We stayed at 6 Greek islands during our holiday and this was the best breakfast by far. Stella at the Day Spa is amazing, I had a very relaxing massage and facial.
Faliraki
This is an excellent property right on the beach. With a sea play area for kids and teens I imagine…. With a fabulous sea view restaurant. A few blocks from the center of town yet, most of the time quiet and relaxing. The owner/manager is very accommodating!! The hotel and restaurant are very eye appealing. So a great value for a romantic couples place so much more affordable than other Greek islands. And location is easy to drive anywhere on the island. Especially close to main city. Of Rodos.
Absolutely beautiful place, loved the boho vibe and all the decor. The room was the largest we've had on the Greek Islands and every single member of the staff was amazing. We did use the spa and had a few treatments and it was wonderful. The location was perfect, great beach right outside your hotel, lots of restaurants within walking distance and a few shops for any necessities. The restaurant at the hotel was good and very attentive. Everyone was there to help you have your best holiday.
Lixouri
Very clean, spacious and comfortable apartment very close to Lixouri. Villa Elena location is perfect for Paliki region exploration and practical to reach Argostoli by boat and the north part of Kefalonia too when the road towards Myrtos is open. The owners are very kind and helpful. There is also a nice taverna right behind the house. Parking is available and reachable through a rather steep dirt access (which is definitely normal in greek islands). Certainly recommended!
The best hotel we stayed at in the Greek Islands. Staff so kind and helpful. Respectful and professional nothing a bother we felt welcomed by family. The breakfast was gourmet with fresh cooked pasties and delicacies. As a coeliac they catered to my diet with an extensive arrange of fresh wonderful options. My husband could eat all of the variety of dishes he had so many choices from the buffet he didn’t want to leave! We can’t wait to go back !
Agia Pelagia
We arrived at seaside as the first part of our honeymoon around the Greek islands. We had booked a shared pool room and were upgraded to a room with a private pool which was a lovely. The staff were fantastic. The hotel had beautiful views around the property with a high end finish throughout. We had a massage in the spa which was wonderful, however we didn’t use the spa facilities as this was an additional charge of £40 per person.

Amazing hotel! You are right on the beach, which was our goal for this stop on our trip to Greece. The service from the staff for both the beachfront service and breakfast service were both incredible. Hotel guests get a 50% discount on beach chairs, which was a nice perk on the Greek islands. You are a short walk to downtown and the port. The rooms are very compact, but this isn't an issue for a couple traveling fairly light.

Very unique property right on the water & in the middle of one of the best beaches in Greek Islands, Masouri beach. The food was phenomenal & we could order our breakfast (or whatever else we wanted) to our room or down by the beach. Couple times we had dinner overlooking the water. The view was also amazing. We are world travelers and we could easily rate this in our top 3 hotel/vacation stays ever!
I start by saying that the location is fantastic, It was a perfect vacation, Paxos is one of the best Greek islands in my opinion. The host was super helpful from the first moment we met him with great kindness, affection and professionalism. Every morning the apartment was cleaned. The apartment was very clean and one of the best we have stayed in in Greece (we have been to many places around the Greek islands and always choose basic Greek apartments, not plush hotels) and this was perfect. The owner is extremely nice. We had to push our vacation a year due to COVID, and they agreed with no issue. They helped us get rides to and from the airports, explained about the busses, and suggested things to do. The rooms were very clean, better than the standard we've seen at family run hotels in Greek Islands.

Perfect location! Kostantinos our host was the best host we had on our month trip traveling the Greek islands. A big space for our two young boys too. We particularly liked the dual entrances the apartment offers and liked to enjoy a drink and watch everyone go by from the back stairs - a perfect stay!
The hotel is stunning, very tastefully decorated and pool area is amongst best we have seen on the Greek Islands. The owners Hannah and Karl are incredibly welcoming and went out if their way for us, helping with reservations and making some great recommendations. We will definitely come again.

This hotel is in such a grand location. The sunsets over the water are magical. The room looked down onto the square below. The bar was beautiful, breakfast had a broad variety of food to try. Spetses is one of my favourite Greek islands.
