We had an amazing stay at this family-run hotel. The staff are incredibly kind and welcoming, and it’s clear that they do what they do with love and passion. They truly care about every single guest who stays here, which made our experience feel personal and special. Our room was beautiful and spacious, with a breathtaking view that we’ll never forget. The breakfasts were out of this world – I can honestly say we’ve never had better croissants in our lives. A huge thank you to Baldov’s mother for providing such an incredible taste experience! Most of the items you try for breakfast are homemade, such as fresh tomatoes from their garden and eggs from their own chickens. It’s the kind of attention to detail that really makes a difference. Given the hotel’s location and local transportation options, we found it best to leave the car parked at the hotel (or at least, that’s how we evaluated it). This means you’ll have to rely on local public transport, which can sometimes be a bit of a challenge. On the plus side, there’s a bus stop right in front of the hotel. However, buses are often late or already full, so they might not stop for you. There are also smaller minibuses that can take you to Amalfi or to the beaches along the way. An interesting advantage is that just a short walk from the hotel, you can connect to the famous "Path of the Gods," which is great because it allows you to hike all the way to Positano. As an alternative to buses, there’s also a convenient boat service, which is a lovely way to travel along the coast.

This hotel was clean, well-organized, and had a large private parking area which is a big plus in Naples. But what truly made our stay special was the staff. They were beyond helpful, kind, and professional. I especially want to thank the maintenance man who helped me fix my car window after it was broken. Thanks to him, I was able to safely continue my trip the next day. That level of support and kindness really touched me it was honestly the highlight of our journey. Huge compliments to the entire team! Excellent breakfast!!!

Superb! Close to absolutely everything. Whether that be restaurants, cafes, shopping, attractions and transport, you couldn’t ask for better. We’ve stayed here before, and again this time around, and will definitely stay again next time. Staff are just lovely and so very helpful as well. Their complimentary iced tea, snack’s, lollies and gum after a long day of walking around, is the best reward ever to re-energise. Thank-you! You’re the best!

FAQs about hotels in Campania

Stunning Scenery and Remarkable Ruins

Wonderful beach resorts, a wealth of history and winding, cliff-hugging roads – these are just a few reasons why Campania is so admired.

Spreading around a bay, the capital Naples is a mix of monumental architecture and narrow streets. Known for pizza and pulsating life night and day, it extends along the coast towards Pozzuoli, site of a Roman amphitheatre and the Phlegrean Fields volcanic area.

The most notorious volcano is of course Vesuvius, whose eruption in 79AD destroyed Pompei and Herculaneum. The ruins of both are an amazing insight into the sophistication of the Romans. Even older are the well-preserved Greek temples at Paestum.

Agropoli sits on a rocky promontory overlooking a beach and harbour, and beautiful Palinuro is at the tip of the Cilento National Park. Other fantastic Campania resorts are on the amazing Amalfi Coast. Ravello, high on a hill, offers stunning coastal views, while Amalfi and Positano cascade down to the sea. Around the peninsula is Sorrento, home to several 5-star Campania hotels, while offshore are the fabulous islands of Capri and Ischia.

Inland Caserta has an impressive Royal Palace with huge gardens, and Avellino nestles in a valley between the port of Salerno and Benevento, site of yet more Roman remains. See Booking.com for an excellent range of apartments, B&Bs and hotels in Campania.

Fantastic location and oozing with history. The staff are so helpful, attentive, warm and friendly. We received a generous upgraded room at check in and were also delivered a welcome gift of fruit and sweet and savoury snacks/treats brought to our room just after we arrived. Our room was so unbelievably comfortable, and maid service was perfection, always on hand to replenish toiletries, mini bar or assist to any request. We asked for plates to be cleared from our room on the first evening and when we returned, much later, our housemaid had performed a full bedtime turndown service for us, placing slippers at each side of the bed, drawing blinds, turning on bedside lamps and our bathroom was fully refreshed. Quisisana truly did welcome us and made us feel at home!! Breakfast was also amazing with a young violinist playing in the background! Excellent choices of foods at breakfast and a great variety of options.

We spent a lovely week at Le Palme Resort and felt truly welcomed from the moment we arrived. The bungalow was spotless, and the location couldn’t be better—just steps from the beach and close to everything we needed. A few moments of noise here and there, but nothing that spoiled our relaxing holiday. The resort’s entertainment team, made our week unforgettable. Their energy, friendliness, and ability to engage both kids and adults really brought the place to life. Every show and activity felt fresh and fun ,it added so much to our holiday We left feeling rested and would happily come back. missing the resort already 😢

You have to be prepared for the madness of Naples.

You have to be prepared for the madness of Naples. It’s loud, unapologetic but also amazing if you look deeper. I was told Naples has many sides and it’s up to you to find them, which is very true. Around every corner there is a surprise, or a story so take time to look and find the many faces of Naples ❤️ we had 3 days and did Pompeii, Vesuvius, underground Naples tour, funicular to Vomero and st Elmo’s for spectacular views of the city, lots of getting lost in the historic district. Lots of great places to eat off Toledo St - Owap Pizza was a fave. We found it quicker to walk than get buses and so much more interesting.

This is just a wonderful place.

This is just a wonderful place. We were there in August which should be high season but it wasn't too crowded. You of course have to have some tourism so that restaurants and shopping will thrive and for us this is just the perfect balance. Not too many people "in your way" but still enough to have a variety of restaurants, shops and all sorts of services. We will 100% be returning to Ischia... most likely more than once and more than twice.

Capri is great to explore via taxi, get up early and head up to Ana Capri, less traffic more intimate area. The chair lift is a must to the top of the mountain, and lunch up top of the mountain is amazing. Capri is nice in the evenings to walk around and shop with plenty of places to get cocktails, and explore.

Amalfi is a small and charming town with beautiful architecture and a lovely atmosphere. However, since it’s the central town of the entire Amalfi Coast, it tends to get very crowded — which unfortunately takes away some of its charm. That said, it’s still worth a visit, especially to admire its history and beauty. But I highly recommend exploring the nearby towns as well — like Positano, Atrani, Maiori, Minori, and others — each of them has its own unique character and is often much more peaceful and authentic.

I have an interest in ancient Roman history (from reading the novel by Robert Harris) and on that basis I ended up spending two days at the site (not one as originally planned). I think even spending a full day there 9am-7pm would exhaust all but the most dedicated traveller, given the heat in peak Summer (when I travelled). Also, bring some decent footwear: the narrow paved areas on each side of the street mean you have to keep jumping off to walk along the road itself which has very irregular stones which are a trip hazard. Gets busy, lots of tour buses. I didn't go as part of an organised tour, but what I did get and found useful was the audio tour guide thing that you can purchase from the visitor centre office before you go in. This provides basic information on each building once you key in the number. There is water available on site that you can use to fill up a bottle. Cafe on site also but was so busy, I didn't even think of joining the queue. I paid the extra 6 Euro for the visit to the villas, outside the main site and thought it was worth it. In fact I couldn't believe that the building I was walking through was over 2000 years old, it looked from the outside like 50 years at the most.
