Everything was PERFECT! Comfy, stylish, clean, spacy room with private bathroom, lots of space to store my belongings. Also huge private terrace with beautiful view on the city and arm chairs where you can chill. Breakfast was very tasty, especially croissants and coffee! Location very quiet, not directly in the city center but there is metro, train and bus connection nearby so there was no issue for me to access city center and other locations in Napoli. Ideal to get a rest from the city rush. Some coffee shops, pastry shops and pizza restaurants nearby are also available. Simona was always very helpful, caring, always available if there was any issue and made sure I had everything I need. If I will ever come back to Napoli I would choose this hotel again.

Staying at this hotel was the highlight of our trip to Naples. After a busy day in Naples and Pompeii, which were very crowded, loud and sometimes dirty, it was very nice to rest in the hotel. This is because the hotel is new, clean, quiet (when the windows are closed) and has many necessary things (e.g. you can drink filtered water from the tap). The host was super nice - he was not annoying, did not ask me to write this review and answered any questions that arose. The location is also good, because it is 5-10 minutes away from the best pizza places, and the place is also close to the bus and train station.

This hotel was in the middle of the action in Naples, an oasis in a chaotic city. The hotel is the cleanest Ive been to, and every single staff member we interacted with was kind and accommodating. This is the best hotel experience I have ever had. I travelled with elderly parents and a very loud child. They treated us with patience and we felt welcome.

FAQs about hotels in Naples

Vibrancy, Vespas, Vesuvius

Undulating beside the Bay of Naples, this UNESCO World Heritage city is a maze of narrow streets and funicular railways. Although it has an incredible array of churches and monuments, it’s the sheer energy, pulsating life, and buzz of Vespas that really make it exciting.

At first you could mistake this for chaos, but given time you’ll see there’s method to the madness. The stunning, curved portico of the Royal Palace. The perfectly thin pizzas which originated here. The red pepper trinkets to ward off the evil eye adorning practically every old town doorway. All are crafted to perfection.

While all this goes on at street level, below is Underground Naples – a series of visitable tunnels and even a Graeco-Roman theatre which you stop at before emerging into someone’s house!

Head up to the Posillipo area for stunning views of the city and Vesuvius in the distance. The volcano itself can be visited and looking down from it towards Pompeii and Herculaneum gives context to the thousands of artefacts now on display in the city’s National Archaeological Museum.

As for accommodation, Booking.com has a wealth of hotels near Naples Airport, old town B&Bs, city centre apartments and more to help you make the most of your stay.

Excellent place to explore the birthplace of Pizza and Pizza Margherita. We liked the funicular to Castel San Elmo. The nearby Pompeii is a must-visit archaeological site. Naples is also well connected to the Amalfi Coast via direct ferry services and trains (via Sorrento).

Naples completely surprised us in the best possible way.

Naples completely surprised us in the best possible way. Before our trip, we heard from several people that they wouldn’t recommend Naples, so we honestly didn’t know what to expect. But we absolutely loved it and would happily come back again. Of course, there are some areas where the streets are messy, with rubbish around, and sometimes you come across some rather unusual or unpleasant-looking people. But we never felt that this ruined our experience. Once we moved into different parts of the city, we were completely happy and really enjoyed the atmosphere of Naples. And the food was amazing! Honestly, everything we tried was delicious, even in small street-food places, little cafés or simple takeaway windows. The pizza Margherita was definitely our favourite — we loved it so much that we didn’t even feel the need to try other pizzas. For us, Margherita in Italy is simply the best. We also tried sfogliatelle, tiramisu, frutti di mare, salads and pasta, and everything was absolutely delicious. We also rented Lime bikes and cycled along the coast to the beach, which was a lovely experience. The beach was public and very busy, especially in August, and the sea there wasn’t the cleanest. But we also took several boat trips to Ischia and Capri and went by train to Sorrento, so we had plenty of opportunities to enjoy beautiful, crystal-clear water. August was definitely very busy, with lots of tourists, but because we usually got up quite early, it didn’t really bother us too much. Overall, Naples was a wonderful experience for us. We loved the city, the food, the atmosphere and the fact that there was always something to discover. Despite its imperfections, Naples has a very special character, and we would definitely come back again!

We loved walking in the different areas of Napoli - there is so much to see and experience. We went into authentic restaurants and had real Neoplitan food and the original pizza was great. We loved the visit and want to come again as our stay was really short this time.

Naples has an unjustified reputation - which is a throwback to older darker times. It is a culturally vibrant city which buzzes with character and is no trying too hard to be anything in particular. It just is. The food is diverse and creative. The amount and quality of art tucked away in museums and churches is stunning. The only drawback is that the taxi drivers will rip you off. Whether you ask for the 'tariffa perdeterminata' or whether you try to negotiate a price in advance they will find a way around it. It is so pervasive and leaves the tourist feeling ripped off and with a bitter taste. A few bad apples ruining the otherwise great impression of this amazing city.

The city is rather wilder than I imagined, motorbikes everywhere, lots of shady people and not the cleanest city I've been in to say the least. But it also has quite an interesting aura about it as well, the good food of course, waiters and bartenders were amazing, it's nice that it is so easy to reach Pompei via train. I recommend visiting Napoli but no more than 3-4 days and try in the colder months of a year, because in August you get sweaty 5 mins after you leave your stay, at 9-10 in the morning. The humidity is killing you.

Best city in the World, lived there for 7 months, so I...

Best city in the World, lived there for 7 months, so I believe I have a legit opinion on it. Ok Napoli is dirty (nearby Station), with graffiti, garbages on the streets, old buildings in ruins. And then there is Lungomare, Posillipo, Vomero, Chiaia. Nothing compares to its beauty. Also has vast Historic Center, museums, parks, Castles, a real time machine Baia, Pozzuoli, Bagnoli, Bacoli, Procida, Caserta, Avellino, Vesuvio, Costiera Amalfitana, Ischia, Capri places you can visite within 1.5h from the center of the city. You would need 2 weeks and full mode travveling to grasp all of this in your memories Last the food. Cheap, great taste, the home of pizza margherita. Go to Napoli and you will cry the day you are leaving!

When you enter the guest house (on second floor) you feel like you are in a five star hotel. Super clean, chic, beautifully decorated, and the most important thing is the host. Antonella is a very nice, helpful, responsive, generous and friendly. She even helped us with early check-in. Highly recommended and definitely would come back. BTW, it's 2 minutes walk to Metro line 6 and also 7 minutes walk to metro line 2. (Don't use buses in Italy unless you have a weekly ticket, trust me). There are lots of cafes and pizza shops nearby.

This was a fantastic start to our southern Italy road trip. Luca & Fiorella were very responsive & helpful with restaurant suggestions & places to go in Naples. Our room was spectacular, lovely tall ceilings, 2 balconies! Shower was great bathroom good size. Superb housekeeping and the location is literally perfect. This place is great for central Naples. It has its own secure gates, so you are central but it feels very private and safe. Also great if you have a car, as it is kept safe. The room was huge! Excellent location, lovely historic building in a very central part of Naples. It is quite noisy and chaotic outside with traffic and constant beeping (seems a hobby in Italy), but it all adds to it. Lovely elderly gentleman in the reception area.
