It was a great experience to stay at Panariello Palace for 5 nights. We were delighted by the lovely interior of the hotel, its daily cleaning service. The rooms were warm and spotless. Very comfortable bed. We had a free shuttle to and from the hotel and Agerola centre where there are lots of restaurants open until midnight. The staff were helpful, professional and very nice. The owners are very involved in the upkeep of the hotel and in providing various services to the guests. It was refreshing to see so much work and love put into making our stay enjoyable. I would highly recommend this place.

We stayed at this hotel for one night during our Amalfi Coast trip, and honestly, it was one of the best hotel experiences we had in Italy. The view of Mount Vesuvius was absolutely stunning. Waking up to that panorama felt unreal. The hotel itself was extremely clean, beautifully maintained, and everything felt very comfortable and relaxing. The breakfast was also genuinely amazing. Great selection, fresh products, and overall just a very enjoyable experience. One of those breakfasts where you actually want to sit longer and enjoy the morning. I’m personally very picky when it comes to choosing accommodations, and during this trip I was comparing both hotels and private Italian homes/apartments because they often have a special charm. But honestly, this hotel exceeded expectations and ended up being one of my favorite stays. It was more convenient, more comfortable, and overall just felt worth it in every way. Pros: • Incredible view of Mount Vesuvius • Very clean and beautiful rooms • Amazing breakfast • Comfortable and relaxing atmosphere • Great overall experience

We had the best holiday ever in Palinuro at this very special hotel. The room was gorgeous overlooking the pool and the sea where we could view the best sunsets from our balcony. Every morning, the breakfast was amazing, fresh eggs cooked to your liking and a fantastic array of breads, cheese, meat, even sparkling wine! The staff are so professional, they cannot do enough for you. The guys at the bar are so friendly and love to chat. If you do nothing else but have a glass of prosecco overlooking the wonderful view as the sun is about to set, then you are guaranteed an unbelievable treat. We have stayed at this hotel before and we cannot wait to return.

FAQs about hotels in Campania

Stunning Scenery and Remarkable Ruins

Wonderful beach resorts, a wealth of history and winding, cliff-hugging roads – these are just a few reasons why Campania is so admired.

Spreading around a bay, the capital Naples is a mix of monumental architecture and narrow streets. Known for pizza and pulsating life night and day, it extends along the coast towards Pozzuoli, site of a Roman amphitheatre and the Phlegrean Fields volcanic area.

The most notorious volcano is of course Vesuvius, whose eruption in 79AD destroyed Pompei and Herculaneum. The ruins of both are an amazing insight into the sophistication of the Romans. Even older are the well-preserved Greek temples at Paestum.

Agropoli sits on a rocky promontory overlooking a beach and harbour, and beautiful Palinuro is at the tip of the Cilento National Park. Other fantastic Campania resorts are on the amazing Amalfi Coast. Ravello, high on a hill, offers stunning coastal views, while Amalfi and Positano cascade down to the sea. Around the peninsula is Sorrento, home to several 5-star Campania hotels, while offshore are the fabulous islands of Capri and Ischia.

Inland Caserta has an impressive Royal Palace with huge gardens, and Avellino nestles in a valley between the port of Salerno and Benevento, site of yet more Roman remains. See Booking.com for an excellent range of apartments, B&Bs and hotels in Campania.

We spent a lovely week at Le Palme Resort and felt truly welcomed from the moment we arrived. The bungalow was spotless, and the location couldn’t be better—just steps from the beach and close to everything we needed. A few moments of noise here and there, but nothing that spoiled our relaxing holiday. The resort’s entertainment team, made our week unforgettable. Their energy, friendliness, and ability to engage both kids and adults really brought the place to life. Every show and activity felt fresh and fun ,it added so much to our holiday We left feeling rested and would happily come back. missing the resort already 😢

We spent 5 nights here to attend a wedding in the area, we had 5 children with us, 2 teenagers and 8,10 and 11. The hotel was spotless, pool was gorgeous, play area for children, the reps in the kids club came looking for the children to join. The staff couldn't do enough for us, they were very pleasant. A ring belong to my daughter fell down the drain in the bathroom, it was of sentimental value to her, they didn't hesitate to help and got the ring from the pipe for her. Highly recommend.

I want to start by discussing the benefits of Naples.

I want to start by discussing the benefits of Naples. Even during the hot season, staying in Naples is reasonably priced. Moving to southern Italian cities like Sorrento, Salerno, Positano, Amalfi, Ravello, Minory, etc. is convenient. Additionally, Naples boasts a vibrant atmosphere and a fantastic historical core with some breathtaking caterdrals. Consequently, it's worthwhile to travel to Naples and have fun while in Italy!

Salerno is a really convenient place to explore the Amalfi...

Salerno is a really convenient place to explore the Amalfi Coast. It is located on the main train routes so it can be accessed more easily than some of the other villages on the Amalfi Coast. It is also less expensive than Amalfi. It is easy to take the ferry from Salerno to the other villages and the ferry ride is a pleasant one (we went to Amalfi, then Positano, then back to Salerno). We also took a local train to visit the Greek ruins at Paestum. We only allocated 24 hours to "see" the Amalfi coast during our Italian vacation and I don't think it would have been possible to see everything we did if we had not chosen Salerno as our base.

A fascinating site to visit - I went with an organised tour to get more details about the ruins. Too big a site to see in one go, especially in the heat, but tour made sure we saw the highlights then left time to explore further. Very busy, as expected given the time of year, but still managed to get a good look around. The cafe was better than expected for a tourist site - very nice salad at a reasonable price. Great that water is available across the site at the original fountains. The town itself was also interesting to explore, including the main piazza with its statues, the beautiful church and Campanile. Easy to get around on foot if you watch out for the traffic. Lots of options for eating, and the ones I visited were good value and tasty food. Excellent gelato.

Authenticity. This felt like a very Italian holiday location that Italians themselves enjoy holidaying - not pretentious or as busy as Capri. The food was really good, and the locations we visited on the island were clean, un-spoiled and friendly.

Absolutely beautiful place with stunning views. It's a pity what instagram did – it's very crowded and overpriced. Definitely luxurious. Most places are available by quite expensive taxi, even though, be prepared for large amount of hiking uphil if you want to see places other that city area. We wished we stayed longer, however it's also perfect and way cheaper to travel there for a day trip by ferry from Sorrento – only 30mins one way.

Amalfi is very beautiful ofcourse.

Amalfi is very beautiful ofcourse. But the people are generally rude to tourists. We were trying to give our daughter a nap in a quite and cool street, and then from somewhere sort of police person comes up and tells us that we cant stay there. But luckily views made up for it. I would not go there again. I would choose Madiera.

Positano is a very vertical city. You really need to be in shape to go up and down the many flights stairs. When booking a hotel, I recommend one is adjacent to the road, otherwise you'll be carrying luggage up or down many stories worth of stairs.
