This is truly the most beautiful villa in Positano, maybe even on the whole Amalfi Coast. The view is absolutely breathtaking – a paradise for the eyes and peace for the soul. The location is perfect: far from the crowds so you can fully relax, but still very easy and quick to reach everything you need. The rooms are spotless, and the owners and staff are extremely kind, welcoming, and always happy to help. I can’t recommend this villa enough and I honestly can’t wait to come back!

We stayed in the Villa and it far exceeded my expectations. It was HUGE and very well de orated and stocked. The staff and housekeeping get 10/10. Breakfast was amazing. Endless option and flexibility in where to eat (in room, at the pool or at the restaurant which is cozy and has a beautiful view). I have never paid this much for a hotel personally but it was absolutely perfect and I hope to return.

The Jewel of the Amalfi Coast

Positano is a colourful Italian town in the Campania region, near Naples. Overlooking the turquoise blue waters of the Mediterranean Sea, this seaside paradise is home to traditional terracotta houses on a steep hill and a small marina with fishing boats.

Set on the Amalfi Coast, between the Lattari Mountains and the Tyrrhenian Sea, the holiday resort of Positano is a UNESCO World Heritage Site with ancient Roman architecture. Featuring white, pink and yellow houses, this place will amaze you with its pebble beaches and narrow streets with little steps.

Built in 1920, the old church of Santa Maria Assunta with the imposing dome is one of the main landmarks of the city. According to the legend, sailors brought the Byzantine icon of the Madonna after their ship got stopped in Positano and heard a voice saying ‘stop, stop, stop’.

It is lovely but ridiculously expensive.

It is lovely but ridiculously expensive. In particular the taxis are 60 euros for 10 mins and a return trip to Ravello cost 360 euros which was more than the air fare to the very grotty Naples airport.

Positano is a classy, chic and culturally rich place to visit. Eating out was a joy at the various restaurants we selected; with beautifully crafted Italian food made from fresh ingredients. It was a great place to visit other destinations on the Amalfi coast - Capri, Sorrento etc A must visit location,

Great town.

Great town. The prettiest town on Amalfi Coast... more than Amalfi, Sorrento, or Salerno. It has ONE one way street into town... come all the way down the side of the mountain... there is the town. Many hotels on each side of street as you come into town. Any of them would be nice. The higher up you are on the mountain.. the longer your walk into town..... 400 steps from our hotel. I'd recommend trying to get something closer to town. The Ferry's are GREAT... take you to any town along the coast... Sorrento..Amalfi.. Salerno... even Naples. Way better than driving. Local bus takes you between towns also.. very cheap.. $3Euro each way. Driving is scary, and there is NO PARKING.. don't get a car.

Positano is a very vertical city.

Positano is a very vertical city. You really need to be in shape to go up and down the many flights stairs. When booking a hotel, I recommend one is adjacent to the road, otherwise you'll be carrying luggage up or down many stories worth of stairs.

Positano involves a lot of steps, and stairs.

Positano involves a lot of steps, and stairs. All of Amalfi coast is like this.. we loved it. We found Positano really amazing and the history is incredible. we did not find it crazy crowded like Instagram posts suggested. We stayed up on the hill overlooking the city and that was perfect for our group. I would have loved to have hiked the path of the gods, but not enough time. will need to come back.

Spent three days prior to moving down the coast.

Spent three days prior to moving down the coast. Very walkable town, definitely inclines/declines. Views are simply amazing; loved sitting each evening at a bar on a cliffside with a limoncello! Took ferry and did the touristy trip to the blue grotto/explored Capri one day; worth it.

This is a family run hotel. It's a short distance from the SITA bus station and the location is very convenient. The host Marie and the whole family are very nice and helpful. Breakfast was homemade, the bacon and the bread are better than those in the 5 star hotels. We had the oranges just picked from the tree, very juicy and fresh. One night we missed our bus and all the restaurants were closed, Maria cooked for us for free. I recommended this hotel to my friends. It was unforgettable experience, thank you Maria and your family.

I had a lovely room just above the entrance with views over the town. The hotel has a terrace with amazing views out to sea and is in a very interesting and picturesque part of the town. I loved my stay in Positano. The room was comfortable with juliet balcony and an espresso machine. Very nice!
