Albergo Fiorenza, hotel in Salerno

Albergo Fiorenza is just 100 metres from the sea and its public and private beach areas. Each room comes with TV, private bathroom, and air conditioning. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the hotel.

I used this as a base to visit Amalfi coast, bus stop right outside taking you to the ferry port or train station, you can buy your bus tickets from reception. You can walk to ferry port Molo Concordia in 45minutes which is what I had to do because I didn’t realise the buses start later on Sunday and I had an early ferry to catch. There is a supermarket nearby within walking distance. There is a fridge in the room which was handy, breakfast was adequate.

Grand Hotel Salerno, hotel in Salerno

Set on the Amalfi coast, this large hotel and wellness centre enjoys panoramic sea views. Its contemporary rooms are 8 minutes' walk from Salerno Train Station, and 3 km from the port.

This old-fashioned hotel has spacious rooms and underground parking, which was a key factor in our choice. The hotel is clean and offers a nice sea view. However, there are some negatives.

We stayed in Salerno and made day trips to Amalfi or Positano by ferry. We found the town easy to navigate and some interesting sights and back streets and alleys. Lots of food options and we did not have a dud meal here. Prices reasonable compared to Positano and Amalfi. Easy to get to by train or car.

Salerno is a great spot to save on cost, but have all the options to explore Almafi coast in day trips. Ferrys, cars, boats, scooters, trains, buses - it's all right here and easy to figure out. We rented a car to go to an organic buffalo mozzarella farm and check out the Greek ruins in Paestum - definitely do this! Paestum park is very enjoyable. Rented a car to go parasailing with Carlo and friends at Parapendio Tandem Paestum. Carlo and company are great at what they do, and ensure you not only have a great jump but also a safe one. Find him on IG @parapendio_tandem_paestumxmt Salerno is a great base for exploring Almafi and saving so much on cost, which allows for more excursions and experiences! Don't over pay for Alma or Positano. Rent a scooter or jump on a water taxi from Salerno.

Salerno is a great affordable base to the busy and expensive Amalfi/Positano areas. You can easily access Amalfi and Positano via ferry, bus or private boat and then return to a less hectic and more affordable place at the end of each day.

Delicious and varied breakfast (pastry, coffee, prosciutto, cheese, toast, fruit), awesome room (Adamo, it is even better than of the photos), personnel gave a lot of good tips - where to go on the ferries, what to visit etc. The shared kitchen has a fridge where you can also take water. Very nice mini hotel in a great location, in the historic center of Salerno. Railway station is very close, beach is also near! I highly recommend Casa dAvorio!

This hotel is at the best location you can find in Salerno. The hotel is on the main shopping street, so you are close to everything, 2 minutes the sea and old town. You can even walk to the train station. From there you can take a bus to Amalfi and Positano. My room was bright, super clean, beautiful and quiet, and I could even see a glimpse of the sea. Good breakfast. The staff was very nice and I will for sure stay there again!

Absolutely fantastic stay! We had the two rooms and two bathrooms, which was excellent. There’s also a lovely little balcony to look out on to the street. Probably the coolest hotel I have ever been in. It transport you back in time, and you will feel like royalty. There are so many well thought out details in the room, you can really tell they put a lot of effort in. If you are in Salerno you must stay here.

The hotel is close to Salerno station and was easy to find. Our room was really clean and comfortable with a terrace and furnished in a modern style. The facilities were in great condition and it was nice to have a smart TV in the room.
