The soul of the hotel is very nice, they care about the guests as well as the environment. Everybody was super friendly, they had tea, coffee and water at all times at the lobby.

Featuring a tranquil location on Hilo Bay and offering breathtaking views of Mauna Kea Peak, this hotel is moments from the town of Hilo and provides spacious and modern accommodation. The bay-view rooms are fantastic--we saw the snowy peaks of Mauna Kea clearly. The hotel is situated almost within Liliuokalani Gardens, which was rated as the most scenic picnic spot on the Big Island by Lonely Planet. Tree frogs sang in the evenings in March and created a summer feel. Ample and free parking on the premise. The steak restaurant has bay views, too, and served large portions.

All! Even though it's a simple, local and antique hotel, our stay was great! Staring by Lee at front desk that was so kind and amazing to us. If you're expecting for a super fancy and impersonal hotel, this is not for you. The stay was great because it was simple, connected to the nature and cultural. You sleep and wake up with the sound of the animals outside and it was so beautiful. Breakfast is very nice and the area you get to eat is rich of details and, of course, more nature. Price was great for the offerings. If you are a nature and local culture appreciator, that place is for you.

The room was absolutely perfect - from the decor, to the breakfast/snacks in room, and the extremely comfortable bed and outdoor firepit. We would stay here again in a heartbeat, and it was definitely the best place we stayed at for our ten day trip!
