We were told upon arrival that, on the departure day, we could leave our luggage at the reception if needed. We counted on that. However upon departing we were told that the Hotel would close and hence we couldn't leave the luggage with them. This disturbed a bit our plans for the day.

This accommodation definitely exceeded my expectations! The single room was just lovely; very clean and spacious with a very well-sized bathroom. The staff was so lovely and the breakfast had many healthy options, which was definitely a bonus compared to the more standard options we usually encounter in hotels. I loved my room so much, that I found it hard to say goodbye towards the end of my stay. Location-wise, it is situated very close to the centre (roughly 10 minutes away) but it is so much more quiet, which was an advantage. I will definitely stay here again when I re-visit Salzburg! To all the staff at Bergland Hotel; you are all doing an amazing job, thank you for the quality and level of hospitality you are offering!

Roadworks locally were noisy starting 7am. I'm sure they will be finished soon.

Close to the old city centre and a number of excellent restaurants. This family run hotel is very clean and comfortable. Staff are very approachable and speak excellent English.

The hotel is about 10 minutes walk from the city centre. Very nice area. I used their breakfast once. The coffee and croissants 🥐 were delicious and fresh. The place is not super modern but it is a very cozy and clean. The staffs were very kind a helpful. I really enjoyed my time there. I recommend it.

I can find one thing wrong with this visit.

The owners were full of great information about Salzburg, make sure you ask for the local sites to visit. The decor of the room felt personal and fun.

The room was very humid and stuffy and required being aired with the windows open during the day, but this didn’t affect the quality of my stay too much.

Very helpful and friendly staff who gave me a map and recommendations of what to do in the area. Located an easy ten minute walk from the old town. Comfortable bed and nice shower, and the room has a kettle. I loved that there was an oscillating fan in my room.
