Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

Czech RepublicThe location is excellent! It's close to the train station to Salzburg and we got the train tickets from the hotel for free. I also enjoyed the restaurants nearby. The place is very romantic and beautiful. I would definitely recommend it.

NetherlandsThe rooms are pretty silent, but the doors don't keep much of the noise out, so the two (I guess) drunk guests at 1.40 am, were heard clearly. At 7 am either a water pipe started making noise, or someone decided to start drilling at this time (or something similar that could produce the noise). For some reason though, everything I did in the room made noise, maybe it's the size, maybe the pvc flooring, but it seemed to be relatively 'loud', though not unbearably. There are some spots on the walls from where mosquitos met their end, but you can't go after every blemish with a paint brush, maybe it's something they re-do after the summer.
Easy to reach, since it was Saturday late, it was easy to park in front of the door (almost), but maybe on other days they have other options. The hotel itself is beautiful, like you expect from a noble Austrian city home. The rooms are quite large, and offer place to sit (one chair was quite worn-out), a relatively luxury tv (which I didn't use) and a large bathroom with lots of glass panels. Breakfast was simply amazing, but they're selling cakes, chocolates and ice cream in the front of the store, so that's to be expected. There was some hiccup during payment, and as a result, I paid double, but this was realized by the staff on the same day, who promptly took the initiative to restitute the double payment. Internet was okay.

DenmarkNo lift, but we knew that when we booked.
We stayed in the top flat and that was great value for the money. Big sitting room, kitchen, bedroom with good bathroom. Extra toilet and a wonderful view. Kind staff and wonderful breakfast served in the café. Parking in the street but only 90 minutes on working days. Parking area free of charges 5 minutes walk from the house, so no problem. Upon arrival you will receive a card, giving a lot of discount and total free public transport in the area. Only 7 min. walk to the trainstation. Go to Salzburg HBF and take line 3 Salzburg Süd and you will come directly to the old town area. Next door to Pension Café Maier you will find a very good restaurant.

Delightful BnB in this town. Large shower, they had a fan in the room, and excellent location. Wonderful breakfast! They had a dumb waiter system to get a large bag that a travel companion had up to the 3rd floor

NetherlandsThe extra bed that was made out of the couch for additional two people was not really comfortable but for 2 nights it was ok.
The staff was very friendly and even when we requested to have the breakfast in our room because we were sick, they made an effort to bring us everything and also checked in with us during the day if we need anything else. We felt very well looked after and especially enjoyed the balcony with a nice mountain view.

HungaryThere is a constant smell of sewage in the room, which can come from the shower drain. A glass sliding door for the bathroom isn't a good solution from this point of view in this situation.
The served breakfast was delicious and perfect. The accomodation has a good location in the village.

Czech RepublicWe did not know ahead of time about the days of rest, so we were a bit dissapointed that the Cafe is not open. The parking around the pension is a short-term parking allowing you to park for 90 min during the day. Night is fine.
We just stayed for one night but had a very good experience. The rooms were clean and quiet. The mountain view is beautiful. The breakfast excellent, the staff friendly. Comfortable beds if you like a more firm mattress.

United KingdomThe only thing we didn't really like was the fact they don't have a lift, but I guess that depends on the fact the building itself is quite old school.
The location is lovely. We were basically in the middle of the woods. The room was very clean and it had everything we needed. The breakfast was good, even though there wasn't much left when we went downstairs, 30 minutes before they were supposed to close the kitchen. We haven't met the staff on the night we arrived as it was a public holiday, but they left the keys for us and we managed.
