We were traveling around and had to crash somewhere. We chose this Gasthof, and it was excellent. The owners hosted us although we came very late in the night. The service was perfect, the room and all the house - exceptionally clean. The breakfast was perfect! Thanks for having us.

In the room it was very hot during the night.

On the other hand... the room was a bit tired and in need of renovation. The bathroom was an adequate size but could use some more shelf space. The only real complaint is that it was the smallest shower I have ever experienced. It was hard to move in the small space without hitting the handle which either turned the water off or switched it to scalding hot or freezing cold. Taking all into account we felt the breakfast was a fair price, but the room was overpriced for what was offered.

On the one hand... the guesthouse was well situated with plenty of parking. The receptionist was very friendly and gave us some very good tips about a nice walk to the old town. The breakfast area was very tastefully decorated in a modern style and the food was good and plentiful. The mattresses and pillows were both very comfortable. We were given a room with a balcony which was a nice treat to be able to sit outside in the evening.

Although not close to the main street, very noisy if you intend to sleep with an open window. Lots of trucks passing early in the morning.

Nice large room, recently refurbished. Good noise insulation of windows against traffic noise. we did not try the restaurant but nice to have one. City center 10-15 minutes walk

The only way to get to the rooms is by stairs, which may present a challenge to people who have handicap requirements. I am luckily not one of these people but some form of assistance is recommended.

Breakfast was great but simple. The room was clean with comfy beds. The view of the mountains from the room was a major highlight. The staff were accommodating and kind during every interaction.

Perfect host. Accommodation booked at last minute and was very happy with my choice. Then accommodated again on a second night. Great base for those wishing to stay close to the Grossglockner Pass. Will certainly choose again if I get this way again.

A bit of a schlep (20 minutes) from the train station and a 10-15 minute walk to the Altstadt.

Clean, comfortable, basic lodging just on the edge of central Lienz. Reasonably priced. Good breakfast. Some great views from my balcony

There was not any.

Very, very pleasant, family-friendly hotel in a beautiful valley, with a comfortable and clean room, kind and helpful staff, excellent location, from which many winter and summer activities are accessible (even on foot). Restaurant: the chef cooks very well, the service is fast, and there is a wide selection. Vegetarians are also welcome. The hotel is easily accessible by car and it has its own parking lot, which is right next to the hotel. If you want to shop, there is a grocery store around the corner (50m from hotel).
