Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Our room was very small but we made it work and knew that would be the case. The beds in our room were end to end which was fine for us because we are about average height but if you are both taller I don't think that would be doable. Staff are a little cold but that's often the case in Austria.
The hotel was exceptionally affordable for a long stay in Vienna. It is right next to a big metro station that can take you anywhere in the city - including the airport. Event though the hotel is decently far away from the innere stradt it doesn't matter with the metro station. There were good food options around (I recommend Mats Wurstelstand) and the hotel in general was very clean.

14€ for a breakfast was a little too much. The breakfast was good but it can’t be worth that price.
Excellent locality with plenty of connections around the hotel. Most trains have this stop.

Reception staff could do better. We stayed at 4 and if it rains, you hear it pretty loudly. We were fine as we enjoy the sound, but if you want full silence, you’ll rather have another floor.
Exactly what you need for an overnight stay. All you need is there. And very clean.

No phone in the hotel room to ring up reception for example. No fridge as well. Not enough toiletries like soap, toothbrush etc. The heating also wasn’t so affective.
Friendly reception and catering staff, good location of the hotel. We got our room changed without any problems because the first room was too small. Breakfast was good as well. The room was clean, a bit old school with large lamps and table lamps but overall good. We also could keep our luggage for a couple of hours both before and after checkout which was very convenient.

The furnishings were old and about half of the room sockets did not work.
The cleanliness of the room was exceptional; the breakfast is good enough;the staff is friendly and helpful. Hotel is really beautiful and close to the centre.

The girls at the reception should be a little nicer and have a little more hospitable attitude towards the guests, everything else is more or less OK.

Air con wasn't functional but may be due to the season. Tea/ coffee facilities would be nice in the room ( I think you can ask if you want them though),
The staff, without exception, were all pleasant and very helpful. Sophie, in particular, on reception desk, is extremely efficient and a credit to your establishment. Breakfast was very good.

I was not too impressed with the breakfast buffet. For €12 I'm sure I could've gotten more variety elsewhere. At times, there was also a lot of noise surrounding my room.
The bathroom was good and the products provided were lovely. The room was furnished with a table and a dresser, which were great. The staff were friendly and the bed was comfortable. The check-in and check-out were super simple, and the honesty bar was a nice touch!

Convenient location of the hotel allows you to reach the airport and train station by public transport. Very close to metro and train station. It is also convenient to get to the city center on foot. The room was clean and very warm, comfortable big bed that allows you to sleep well after a day of walking. If you arrive early, you can leave your luggage at the reception, which is open 24 hours a day

Only one pillow on the bed.
The hotel was clean and well maintained. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. The honesty bar was fantastic and always stocked. Walking distance to the centre is very reasonable for the price of the hotel.

For me personally the room was enough, but it is quite small for two people. The room also lacks a coffee/team machine
