perhaps the reception staff could be more helpful... we arrived at 6pm, exhausted from travelling and long drive... we have 2 children with us, letting us check in on arrival without insisting on passport would be useful. We already have in hand our booking details. As my husband who was holding the passport have to wait for another shuttle due to limited space, I was alone with my children sitting at the lobby waiting for dont know how long for his arrival.

Stay at another building which have to walk to main building 5mins ,but it's rain so it make me and my kids not convenient. The keys card to enter the building doesn't work, I have to call my family to open the door to me. After that I have to walk to contact with reception for key cards.

Staff, esp in the restaurant, not very friendly. I was dispensing a coffee while the staff saw the spill made by someone earlier and started voicing his displeasure. Another staff when asked if I could sit at the restaurant balcony to take a photo (because the door to balcony is open) only replied strong and loud NO with rude gesture. We are paying this rate for the experience, not just the room.

The location is very convenient right in the center next to the landmark church. Rooms are comfortable with superb views.

The room needed a bit of renovation (mainly the bathroom).

The views were amazing overlooking the lake!! The food was also exceptional (we had both breakfast and dinner). The staff were friendly and helped us take our luggage as we were not staying in the main building (about a 5 minute walk). The hotel also takes care of your luggage before check-in and after check out. Would definitely recommend staying if you are in Hallstatt.

We booked this hotel because it said there was sauna, but they are renovating, so we couldn’t use it. However, it was never mentioned anywhere here on the app. In our opinion it’s not worth the money.

It’s a cute little hotel, the staff is very friendly and the breakfast was nice. They gave us a room with a double bed which we insisted on and you get a free transfer from the hotel to the parking

Our room had stairs inside the room- first stairs down from the door and the coffee corner to the sleeping area. Then stairs up, from the sleeping area to the toilet and bathroom. During the day it is not a big deal, but if you want to use the toilet at night, or take water from the coffee area- it might be risky in the dark. The adjacent room was flat and regular. The drainage in the bathtub and sink was not that great. Had to walk from the building to the breakfast building, which is not a big deal, except for the fact that you cant go to breakfast in slippers and light clothes, but need to get fully dressed with coat and everything.

The hotel is in a great location. We had the deluxe room and the view from the balcony was amazing. The room was quite bid. The breakfast was nice. In our room the bathroom was separate from the toilet- which we liked. Our friends though were in the adjacent room and there the toilet was inside the bathroom. The instruction we received from the hotel regarding how to reach them- where to park and the shuttle etc- were accurate. In overall a great stay, would come again.

We are not in main building and we cannot enjoy the facilities and we are check in into the third building and it is quite far from reception. It tooks us about 5 minutes walking, but luckily they have staff helping u to move luggage. The staff at reception was not too helpful because we ask about dinner in their restaurant and they just tell us it is fully booked and unable to dine in. We asked if we could tale away and have room service,they just point us to the restaurant to ask by ourself. Eventually we just walk into the restaurant and in fact it is not fully book, many empty seat and we have a great dinner. The next day ask about the shuttle that taking longer to pick us, but the staff was not not friendly and i would say a little rude in responding to us

The hotel is situated right in the town, just 200m away is the famous scenic photospot of hallstat, room is spacious, hot water shower is hot and water preassure is good. Bed mattress is comfortable with great lake view. Halstatt provide free shuttle to our hotel if u arrive before 7pm, upon 7pm u need to contact the property to send their own shuttle which we call them as we arrive at 7pm, and the shuttle was quick to pick us up to hotel check in. Out hotel building is situated not together with the main building but the staff (the one who drove shuttle us to hotel) helped with the luggage moving and it makes the process much more convenient. Since, everything in hallstat close at 5pm, we still manage to catch good dinner at the hotel restaurant, the grilled trout and chicken schnitzel taste really good. And restaurant staff is helpful when we ask some info about hallstat

Hotel consists of three houses, and one of them is a 5-7min walk away which is not pleasant in the cold or rain. You have to walk to get to breakfast and there is no room service nor housekeeping after 8pm. That building is also not an accessible one. Despite the elevator you still have to walk up 20 steps to get to the elevator which then only takes you to the first floor and then you take a second elevator. So, dont choose the third Seethaler building like we did, if you have a wheelchair or stroller. Know that you cant drive to the hotel (standard for all hotels in Hallstatt) and the closest you can park your car is a parking lot that is 12-15min walk away. Parking costs 18 Euros per day and if you dont move your car over night, you'll get a Euro discount per night. The hotel will provide a private shuttle if they feel like it. If they dont, they'll make you wait up to 45min and you can use a general Hallstatt shuttle to leave the town (unless you want to walk in the cold with your luggage). This was despite the fact that we were told the hotel's private minibus would provide transportation at check in and check out. The rooms are nothing special, no cozy ambiance but has all the basics. They'll bring a robe if ask for it at the right time of the day and if they have staff. Overall, had the reception staff been more flexible, empathetic and accommodating, we would have had an excellent stay. Unfortunately, this was not the case, hence why we had to rate it lower than we would have.

Friendly staff at the restaurant (not reception), good breakfast, great views, good location. They have a Nespresso machine, which was pleasant given the walk you have to take to get to food every morning. The uninterrupted views of the city and the lake from our room made up for the various shortcomings of the hotel. The food at the restaurant (lunch + dinner) and the breakfast was good, they offer a diverse selection. They even had lactose free milk.
