Remote check ins are an evil concept, and seldom work. Same this time. I received check in codes 2 hrs after I checked in online, 20 mins after I was already in the room, having had to phone the number on the door. The staff who answered wanted me to check in online (had already done that) and to pay the bill (had already done that). Then she walked me through it and remotely opened the hotel door and room. There is a human reception, but only until 18:00. Really?

They couldn't check me in at 11:00 PM even after confirming twice in advance that I would be able to check in at that time. I was given a room in another hotel late night and I need to move there on my own.

Safety was a MASSIVE issue. Anyone can enter the hotel and go right up to the rooms. My friend and I felt unsafe (two female young travellers). The reception is only open from 10-6 and they were late. The rooms had hair on the bed and all the curtains fell down.

the property has no WIFI. no where to hang up my coat as all the hocks are broken. staff are not there as the receptionist works from 9-17. I hardly to see her.

The reception closes at 18 every day. The check in online doesn't always work, ditto the check out online. We got a room card (key) which didn't work and we almost spent the night locked out of the room. There is not enough light in the room, only bedside lamps.

Bookin.com allocating a property without verification and substandard service. There is no reception to provide access to enter the hotel and had to waste time and effort in calling on roaming and using data roaming to contact the staff on phone to get hotel access.

The digital key system without organized reception is not what I expected. I regret having done this booking. It will be very difficult if an elderly person books this hotel and tries to enter the hotel with digital key without physical support from the reception.

Clean the bathroom , clean the quilt inside duvet , get rid of strange art on the wall , clean your carpets , walls need fresh paint or cleaning .

The corridors and lift were tatty, but it gave the place a nice budget feel.

The bathroom was spotlessly clean and the rooms were clean even though the carpet had stains. I felt comfortable overall and for the price it's a 10-15 minute walk to the centre . There is also a good supermarket nearby. There is a restaurant nextdoor that serves pasta and pizza too.

The hotel is on the number 2 bus for the airport, it stops outside. But it's 15/20 minutes walk to central Salzburg. I found a quicker way eventually saving a few minutes. But in the room there were no coat hangers because previous guests have stolen them. There wasn't any hooks either ,perhaps they were taken as a gift from the lovely city that Salzburg is? The 'heated ' towel rail in the bathroom didn't seem to work, but did in fact have a bath. However my issue is with staffing or lack of it . Only from about 10.00 until 18.00. Out of hours, how do even get in ! You are suppose to phone a number, but if you have come off a long flight or train journey ,you want someone at reception, don't you,sort of 24/7. Even when I checked out ,the reception guy went off somewhere, so I had to take my bag with me ,as I was worried when I went on to the airport ,I wouldn't be able to pick my bag up . And more seriously though ,when I arrived there was no record of my booking with you. It was sorted, but what if the hotel had been full? So 24/7 reception is not a lot to ask is it. The hotel generally was OK and I was on my own ,but booking.com and the hotel company needs to reflect on these issues I have flagged up.

We arrived on Sunday and did not find any staff at the reception- the staff does not work at the hotel on Sunday! We had to check in on the phone. Phone connection was bad, so several attempts later we found our rooms. There were other guests that faced the same problem and we ourselves helped another family. This is truly disappointing as weekends are busy with travelers and this hotel has no one to check guests in.

The property is located conveniently near the Salzburg station.

Could have done with a bit of tlc on the room, stained carpets, obvious paint difference where a mirror once was, shower screen leaked onto floor.

Initially I was not given tv remote later they gave but My remote was not working and I went to reception desk asking for help and they said they had informed tech team and no help. Whole two days simple remote problem was not fixed No body wash or hair shampoo was provided

The property is quite expensive for the quality of the room. Shower is broke. Room is dusty. Reception is not 24 hrs (which is already stated on the description, there was a man who went inside after we got out of the building in an early hour of the morning. We were not even sure if he is checked in the hotel.

I was surprised that still in Europe , especially in such country as Austria such 60 years old back hotels are exist… unbelievebly but for example in Poland, Ukraine there were such hotels may be 50-60 years ago..
