Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

IrelandPillows were next to useless. More life in a pancake. It seems to be the norm on the continent though. The remote control was not working, either batteries dead or remote broken. This left the TV on all night. There was no power switch visible to me to turn it off. Light in the room all night so. Not a major issue but inconvenient. Breakfast is not worth the money. €10 less would be plenty.
Room was a good size, very comfortable bed. Good shower and bath facilities. Very decent large towels. Staff at check in and out were very friendly. Gave good info.

PolandAs always with 5-star hotels expectations are high and you can have a good first-minute experience only once. And Melia Vienna fails on this. They direct you to a public car park which can accommodate cars up to 2,05 m. If you have a bigger one, as we did, the reception team would tell you they.... cannot help you, but you cannot leave your vehicle at the entrance since it might be towed. And then you are on your own (there bus car park nearby, but someone would mention this to you). The 57th-floor restaurant is open only till 10 pm. There is a 57th. floor lounge open to the general public (which is crowded and extremely loud (Friday evening). Then the morning coffee machine at the lobby with card payment will gladly take your money but refuse to give you coffee (twice). Finally, an invoice promised by the night shift receptionist to await you in the morning is non-existent. So you waste your time again to provide them with the same details you did in the previous evening....
It is a great hotel, with a perfect location if you travel by car across Austria. Close to a motorway from Eastern to South Europe. We were staying at a master suite apartment which was spacious with a beautiful view across the city and the Danube river. This room gives you access to 57th. floor restaurant for breakfast with a breathtaking 270-degree view across Vienna (all other guests dine at a ground-level restaurant).

BarbadosThe pick up of the remnants of breakfast could have been a bit faster but I think it might be that they were not sure if i wanted to keep anything. Bed was a bit low for me, I have to admit and pillows too soft (i combined pillows to solve this problem). These were relatively small issues compared to the rest.
All was quite good. I had a good view and the heated floors in the bathroom were a nice plus along with a nice shower and water flow. The set up was comfortable and easy for someone traveling on business. No real complaints. The room service food was very good and the bar in the room a nice plus when working at night or if you feel asleep early and wanted to hydrate - expensive but doable.

ItalyI arrived 15' before check-in time (3pm) and kindly asked if a room was ready as I had a meeting at 3:30pm. Answer was no. No room available even at 3pm. Had to wait until 3:20pm to be assigned a room. Hotel is huge and lobby was empty at that time. I'm a regular customer, but now no more.

United KingdomWalls are paper thin, can hear your neighbours very clearly. The temperature of the room is hard to control too, either too cold or too stuffy.
Lovely room and bathroom. Location was quiet and away from central, but the underground was very close and accessible to all the tourist spots . The Sky Bar has lovely views too and nice drinks.

United KingdomThe bar wasn’t open on the ground floor - to get a hot drink at 8pm on the 2nd night we were told to go to floor 57!! What’s the point of having the bar there? Also we went to Bar 57 on the first night - didn’t get told we’d need a reservation to sit in certain seats so we were placed away from the views and then ordered some Nachos with a drink - the nachos had 3 jalapeños on them!! For 15 Euros that’s ridiculous!!! We took a photo to prove it as we couldn’t believe it!! Then complained to the server and he returned from the kitchen with a bowl full of jalapeños which we added ourselves - the melted cheese was hard to find but I’m not sure you can bring a bowl of melted cheese out. I would say the chef either couldn’t be bothered or is unaware how loaded nachos should be served or the owners are putting a squeeze on profit margins so much that they’re saving on toppings.
Room was great

PolandLocation is awful, far from any attractions, far from the Christmas Market, located in the same building with some offices; common with office workers lift to go to lounge, keep in mind, that you won't get a beautiful panoramic view, since only first 5 floors are meant for hotel, the rest is meant for the offices.only, don't count the skyscrapers photo. The hotel is in the scyscraper, but located on the lowest floors. For service: all was relatively good except for dinner in the room service. I tried to make an order for 5 times, only on the fifth my order has been accepted. All the dishes were served on plates which we were asked to leave behind the door, which was a lilbit confusing to me. The poorest thing was, that I found a blond hair of someone in the bathroom (none of us have blond, so you it wasn't ours). In general eveything else seemed to clean, but this blond hair made me not to use the bath. In addition to that the water was cold to get a bath in the middle of the day and I couldn't make it any warner
Modern hotel with good interior, breakfast was quite fine, various dishes, restaurant is comfortable and well-designed. We like the desing of the hotel, the bed was comfortable.

United Arab Emirates1. Restaurant, bar, lounge working hours- till 21.30-22 only 2. Room planning 2.1 The washroom does not have a door to separate it from Bedroom 2.2 The toilet itself has fully transparent glass doors, as well as the shower 2.3 The hotel planners consider going to the toilet in front of your family as some kind of a "Wow effect" 2.4 Zero privacy in the washroom as a result 3. Gym is a total shame for a 60 storied building, its so small and has almost no equipment 4. Engineering is a total shame The was strong wind and i could not sleep as the windows were all shaking and making noisy sounds all night long The ventilation and AC in the lounge on the 57 floor was not working No light in the conference room in the business lounge, the problem is not that it was not working, but that it as totally unavailable Still, its the highest skyscraper in Vienna with the best view of the city which is a must for visit, but the planning and engineering are a shame for such high class of the building

EgyptServices during Christmas time way below expectations. Room service was very limited and delayed massively. Also what I discovered was that if you book from a different website rather than Melia, you don’t get the full benefits of the points or the silver or Gold Status with Melia. A shame really.
