The Girls were amazing. Super friendly, helpful and knowledgeable of the area and surrounds. The room was the cleanest I have ever stayed in and the amount of free amenities was unbelievable. They really have thought of everything you could ever want or need when going on holiday. It was like a home away from home. I would definitely stay again if I am ever back in Port Douglas. Location, location, location. Short walk to restaurants, shops, and coffee. Super friendly and helpful staff. Anything that one could want for a fun day - beach towels, sand chairs, coolers, bikes, etc., all right there.

We had a "Cute Cozy" room and it was exactly that; plus very clean and comfortable. The little patio was lovely, the little kitchen was everything we needed, and the decor was fun. We especially appreciated the friendly, accommodating and chill vibe that The Girls at By the Sea have created. They truly care that their guests have a great experience at their place. Check-in was easy and friendly, and they provided super helpful information. What was truly exceptional was the entire room of things that guests were welcome to use; from beach toys to coolers to wagons and even bicycles.

wish we had more time here. We did not eat at Rattle and Hum and I really wanted to but we ran out of time!

The place was FANTASTIC! I was nervous about the after hours check in (1am) when no one was there but it could not have been easier! The room was cozy, super clean and you could tell every detail had been attended to. View to the beach was good and you had everything in the room and small kitchen you could need. Tons of fun stuff in the reception area for guests (books, DVD's, bikes, floats, etc). Every employee we spoke to was super nice, welcoming and helpful. Hats off to the ladies!! We loved strolling down the main drag to shop, go to the grocery, and even walk to the marina to get our snorkel trip. I wish we could have stayed longer!

The cyclone! ....far too much rain, even the beach was out of bounds!

The location was excellent right by the beach. The apartment and resort was well appointed with many whimsical pieces of artwork and decorations. Very family friendly with lots of equipment that could be borrowed! Wish we had booked a longer stay!

This place is a treasure! Clean and fresh, playful touches, super close to the beach, friendly hosts and an amazing array of items you can borrow inc beach toys, bikes, eskies, DVDs and books. We will definitely stay here again !

Great location, great space, configured the beds exactly as I needed them in each room. Very friendly staff. Good information for how to use all appliances and tv. Beach chairs, games, movies, coolers, etc for use.

Awesome set up, amazing staff with all the little extras such as DVDs, bikes, towels, games.. just a great place Wether your staying with family partner or a group! Will choose this place when we come back. Very close to beach and on the main strip so everything is so easy to get to on foot.. or take a bike

Wish that there was a main entrance door that locked for safety reasons (this is a minor issue since I know PD is safe, but would feel more assured especially as a solo traveller). Also maybe having a safe in the room.
