The room was a lot smaller than we expected, we were probably used to motels where you have a table and chairs and more space, eg somewhere to put your suitcases, not just lying around on the floor. Also no hairdryer. Most of this you obviously can’t change due to the constrictions of the building.

Staff were wonderful. The breakfast delicious. Surroundings lovely. Good to be able to invite our son and play pool. The room and the bed were nice and warm.

The location is very tranquil while being close to the township. The staff were friendly and welcoming and communication was excellent both prior to arrival and during my stay. The breakfast was generous and tasty. I note that apart from breakfast, the in-house restaurant is closed (this was communicated ahead of time and didn't bother me) - there are plenty of dining options in town and the owners are happy to make recommendations. I enjoyed my visit and would happily return one day.

Beautiful location with views of the grounds or the Yarra River from some rooms. This location gets cold at night at this time of the year but the rooms were warm and cosy. The staff were welcoming and very friendly. We’d love to stay another time.

What a beautiful setting, everything about Oscar's on the Yarra is perfect. Christine and her team are amazing and very accomodating. I was so impressed, I started writing the review in my head as soon as we'd arrived. Was going to say the only regret I had was not booking another night, but we ended up staying another night anyway. Did I say the team is gracious? Nothing is too much trouble. Great rooms, amazing breakfasts (as you'll hear in other reviews), and exceptional hosts. With just a 5 min drive to Warburton, Ocars' on the Yarra enjoys an enviable position away from the highway, and is the perfect spot for relaxing by the river. See photos. What more could you want?
