Needs a good clean- Venetian blinds and shutters dirty, bathroom clean but many dead flies. No coffee pods - are they usually provided?

beautiful looking cottage. we only stayed one night and the weather was horrible but we definitely want to return for a longer stay in spring or autumn. Breakfast was great.

Needs a space heater in both rooms, not just front room. Bathroom shower with no door results in puddles all over hardwood floor, shockingly poor design choice. Pod coffee machine was god awful, don't even go there. Stove very weak and took 10 minutes to cook scrambled eggs

We stayed in the headmasters cottage. Accomodations were so classy, gorgeous oldschool feel. Fireplace sitting room was glorious. Location under the lighthouse and on the edge of the earth was enchanting. Bed was very comfy. Excellent choice for two families or large single family.

Sunset Cottage was beautifully set up, full of character and comfort. We wanted for nothing - it was warm, kitchen and facilities were ideal as were the breakfast provisions. It was an ideal location for a bit of whale-watching and only 10 minutes from town.

Not sure if the dishwasher has power connected to it. It didn't work when I tried to turn it on.

The bed was super comfy. Breakfast was awesome. Living area with fireplace during winter was an enjoyment.

We did not use the fireplace (because we did not want our clothes to have a smokey smell), and unfortunately the air conditioning was not strong enough for the large living area. The bedrooms were also a little chilly.

We made a slight detour to stay at this unique location - a refurbished lighthouse keeper's cottage. The cottage was spacious, with a large garden, and located steps away from the lighthouse (and away from everything else). This is not a luxury villa, but there's a living room, kitchen+dining room, 2 bedrooms and a large bathroom. I would recommend buying the groceries you need after collecting your keys (from a hotel reception in Portland) before driving to the cottage. We were able to cook a nice dinner for ourselves.

Nothing, I would have stayed if they let me!!

This is a unique property to stay at and we loved it! The cottage is so comfortable and well presented with all modern facilities but in an historic setting. The location is amazing with the lighthouse lit at night, sitting in the cozy loungeroom with the open fire burning ( wood box filled and the fire ready to be lit!!), I simply did not want to leave.
