Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

the elevator was an experience, and was getting fixing the day we checked out so I needed to carry everything down to the car park from the 3rd floor. When the elevator is working the property is functional and in good location.
the property is old but clean, the upstairs sitting area is great for afternoon drinks and to watch the city skyline.

A basic motel, but a big clean room at a fair price. Right on the river, next door to a liquor outlet and a good pub, 10 minute walk to a shopping centre. About half way between the city and the airport or the cruise ship terminal, Choice of severla local places to eat nearby. Reception staff were extra helpful.

Traffic is a bit of road noise, if your a light sleeper, but you are on a main road, and in a city, so one must expect a little road noise. I always take ear plugs but didn't end up using them.
Great location, Great price for a older style motel. Reception was very helpful and answered all our questions. We have rebooked for our next trip up there.

It's tired and needs renovation. Dirty ashtray left on balcony table. No soap or hand wash in shower and sink. However the manager Greg refilled and was most helpful and apologetic. Would not have booked the balcony suite if I knew there would have been a smoker in the next room. His smoke wafted over to our room
Position to Hamilton Wharf. Spacious, had a fridge and coffee facilities. Bed comfortable. The Manager Greg was very helpful and friendly. Dan Murphy's next door as well as The Hamilton Hotel. The large communal Balcony on the top floor is great. Chairs and tables for customers to use. The view in beautiful looking over the Brisbane River and City.

The road was noisy, and needs maintenance, I got locked in bathroom and the inside of the jug was breaking down and there was flecks of black amongst the water

Unavoidable traffic noise.
The manager Greg was welcoming and made our stay so comfortable. The Location near wharf and restaurants super. Movies at the Port and near racecourse.

Bed was too firm for me. It was good to have a large window to look out but the ability to get fresh air through the small opening was a challenge. I appreciate that there may have been some foolish person who has climbed out onto the ledge and so this is a safety thing; however it might be worth looking into other options that can be safe and allow improved airflow. There was a minor miscommunication on arrival which was a small inconvenience but nothing serious.
Location was great, proximity to food and beverage venues was very good. View from rooftop was nice also.

The water pressure for the shower was not good. I turned on the hot water tap and little water came out. I really had to stand under it . The hot water took along time to get hot.
The location of motor inn was good. It had nice views of the river and Brisbane City. It was close to Brisbane Airport. The room was clean and tidy and the tv was working the reception team was friendly.
